Perfect place to stop for some delicious BBQ in Starkville. We enjoyed pulled pork, chopped brisket and three sides. Sides were collard greens, jalapeño slaw and some of the best beans I’ve ever had. Picking only 3 sides was hard - took leftovers home! Atmosphere was quintessential BBQ chic. Lots of beer on ice to great you as you enter. Very friendly and helpful staff. Well worth the stop - and even worth a detour!

Excellent food, excellent service, highly recommend! The Hatch chili mac and cheese and the warmed potato salad were great. Brisket was cooked to perfection, tender without excess fat, and generous portions. The burrito with half brisket and half barria meat (recommended by the meat guy) was amazing and HUGE. This burrito took up a to go box even after I ate ¼ of it. 5/5 recommend, been several times and have always had exceptional food and experience.

Amazing Texas BBQ. It’s set up just like they do in Texas where you go thru the line, pick sides, then meat and others. Food is full of flavor and super juicy. The Turkey is my favorite!

Food was only decent :( kind of pricey for the amount given and they were out of a lot of stuff we wanted due to their "open until sold out" system. I was supposed by this because we went on a baseball Saturday prior to the baseball rush. It was pretty empty.

I drove 45minutes to have dinner there and it was closed at 6pm on Wednesday! Might be nice if you updated your website!!!

The macaroni is fire. It’s supposed to be spicy but it’s not really. The creamed corn is not what you typically think of creamed corn. It’s whole kernel corn in the creamy jalapeño sauce. Jalapeño coleslaw is all good until you bit into the actual jalapeño!. The brisket I noticed that the top half above the fat line was salty. The mustard sauce did help with the saltiness.

Excellent Carolina style whole hog que and Texas style brisket. The hatch chile Mac and cheese was delicious. Loved seeing the pits in the back burning post oak.

Tri tip is tasty. The potato salad is good so is the mustard slaw. It's kind of expensive, we cook like this often enough, but it's really tasty. The only place we've been to that gets the flavors right. I suspect we'll be back unless we decide to cook at home.

If you have not been here you HAVE to go! This is by far the best bbq place around. The brisket was amazing! I got the jalapeño coleslaw as a side and it was so delicious. My husband got the baked beans and macaroni and loved both. We were given a sample of the brisket chili and it was absolutely delicious! My new favorite place to eat in Starkville! Prices are also very reasonable!

Service was fast and accurate and the brisket sandwich was great along with all those fine sides!

The food at The Joint is really good! We had the brisket - very generous with portions. Sides were good as well. They also offer some free sides - try the pickles - definitely home made. A couple of suggestions - flip the menu boards. It’s hard to read the main offerings where you have to order. Also, use smaller trays so that everyone gets their own. It was a little awkward having 2 people share. I didn’t want to have any meat land on the table and trying to hunch over the 1 tray wasn’t easy. I dare say this is the best BBQ in Starkville so give it a try!!
