Really good flavors. We ordered the lunch Panang, red Curry and Pad Thai. They came with soup and crispy roll. The food had a nice flavor and the portions were of a size that fit a lunch special. We shared the food. My wife could not eat the rolls as they were flour and I would not eat the soup as it had chicken. We worked that out though. The service and staff were nice. They are rated highly and I see why. Nicely done!

We totally make it a point to go here every single weekend! It's, like, the ultimate spot for all you folks who are into some seriously spicy cuisine. Trust me, it's a total win-win situation!

I wrote a 5 Star review of Sao Thai, over 5 years ago. Trust me when I say that they have even gotten better! Sao Thai's owners are a wonderful Thai couple who truly know their cuisine & their customers. The restaurant is very cozy & the staff is so kind & helpful! The owner's daughter is their lead waitperson. She is such a wonderful addition to their staff. I highly recommend anything that they are serving. I've been going here for many years & will continue to do so! Thank you to the proprietors & staff at Sao Thai in Tupelo!

I wish I could give a review, but I can't. Even though online it said it was open, when I and my friend pulled into the parking lot, the lights inside were off and the building was closed. Was very disappointed.

This place is a blessing to the people of Tupelo. Service gets slow when they get packed, but that's because it's a real restaurant that takes pride in their food. If you want Texas Roadhouse dog food, then go there ? Great decor and cool staff. This place is awesome!

It's literally one of the weirdest, most eclectic places I've ever been to, and I love hearing first-timers whisper that to each other. The atmosphere isn't what you would expect from a Thai restaurant with its wall-to-wall Eurpoean antiques, but by golly the food is good! The Spicy Basil Rice w/ Chicken and Drunken Noodle w/ Chicken are my favorite entrees, and the Noodle Soup with Ground Chicken...I swear it is the cure for any ailment. I get takeout as often as I dine in, and nobody has a sniffle in my house without that soup. The dine-in service can be a little iffy. I don't think I have ever gotten a drink refill without chasing down a waiter (and y'all, some of that food is spicy!), and the food doesn't ever seem to come out in order or cohesively with my lunch pal, but the restaurant is always very clean and they have never gotten my order wrong. The lunch menu prices are a huge draw. 2 full, large portion meals for under $25 is hard to beat.*The parking lot fills up pretty quickly, but there are a few extra parking spaces on the south side by the drive-through window.Vegetarian options: Any meal can be prepared meat free.

Food is simply superb. One of the best in my travels and I seek Thai food wherever and whenever possible. The green papaya salad is spicier than I expected but a real treat! Staff is always friendly and prompt. Small inside dining room is stocked with antiques. There is another Thai restaurant in town that is acceptable; I choose to dine here. If the menu indicates spicy, trust it.

If you haven't you must. So not your average Thai place - antique decor and soft jazz vocals set the stage for perhaps the finest Thai food we have eaten, excellent service. The layers of flavor in the Thai chicken noodle soup was masterful, we are fans for life.
