Great two days in Vicksburg. Was looking for a dog before heading to Natchez. Hot Dog Man did not disappoint. Two, loaded, chili dogs, Fritos and a Diet Dr Pepper....limited seating and lots of carry out going on....seems like a "go to" place for a quick lunch...

After 7 years of living in Vicksburg, MS I have never been to Red's Hot Dog Stand until today. It was wonderful. The owners are so nice, the food is so simple and so good. It's a wonderful little hole in the wall. Highly recommend if you've never been.Featured is a Frito Pie added onions & Jalapenos & a Chili Dog added onions & jalapenos.

I love Vicksburg and try to support all types of local businesses, so as I was passing and saw that Hot Dog Man was open, I pulled in. In order to really taste the menu item that is the very name of the place I ordered a plain hot dog. No toppings, just plain. Sadly, it was awful. Lowest quality tube meat I've ever had, the kind you avoid completely if you love hot dogs when shopping. It was basically fat, tasted like 100% turkey and chicken by-products, light pink in color, soft and slightly spongy, little to no flavor. Bun was also low quality and almost tasteless. $2.20 including tax. 2 stars only for having a lunch business in Vicksburg. I really wish it was better. The people were very friendly, the place definitely has a small town Southern vibe, but this is a hot dog review, and it would be hard to find a more tasteless or cheaper quality hot dog. Sorry.
First timer, stopped by to see how tart the dogs were. Would definitely recommend. Friendly and fast service. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the outside wall art almost as much as the chili dogs.

5 star hot dog restaurant. Great chili dogs, red beans and rice and Frito pie. Yum Yum. We are chili dog people and have them when we travel and this was our favorite so far. The service and friendly people where amazing.
