For $8.50??? I'll do that again and again. Nothing super special about the tamales, other than they are tamales and tamales are good.Their chili is homemade. I think the way 80% of America makes their chili. It's good. Again, nothing that stands out, but good home style food.When I was there, it filled up with locals pretty quickly. The inside is pretty small, and it's been there since '37? I can believe it. If you are in Vicksburg? Go. You'll enjoy.

Nice place off the beaten path, but, close to downtown. Owned by a outgoing women and her brother helping her out. Tamales were great especially the FIESTA. Chips and nacho cheese were good, need some jalepenos etc. There are a few tables to sit down and enjoy it there and now while its HOT!!

Found this place in Vicksburg, MS about 3 years ago. The tamales are to die for! I will drive all the way to Vicksburg from Hattiesburg for the tamales! If ever in Vicksburg, or nearby, definitely try Solly's. It's less than two miles from the MS Visitor's Center. Not much parking, but the area is easily accessible, even on foot.

Great small business. My incredibly picky children even enjoyed the food. My autistic son was all about the fries, and my other son was loving the tamales and chili. He even insisted we take at least six tamales to grandpa on the farm, just outside of town, since we were headed there after lunch

Read good reviews here and decided to try something different for lunch here. Free parking right there, very reasonable pricing, hubby got a tamale burrito and I had 3 tamales plus unsweetened tea all for $12.50! Really friendly folks, so glad we stopped in!

Best hot tamales in all off Vicksburg I'm 2022-2023 and since I was a kid in the 70's. Friendly staff. Amazing kindness. People from all over ?? come here and old school rustic decor is perfect. Truly this place is a National historic landmark in the city.
