I wouldn't go back for any reason. Two of us went for dinner... we had previously enjoyed the restaurant, especially when it was downtown. This time both of us got food poisoning, and were extremely sick for 24 hours.

Ordered the gluten free pancakes and my allergy was not taken seriously. I was sick for 7 weeks. Contacted the restaurant twice to let them know what happened and zero response.

I was served gluten pancakes at a slow brunch and was sick for 7 weeks. I let the restaurant know about the incident twice and they will not even respond. I can’t imagine how unprofessional a kitchen has to be to f*ck up this hard. Besides this incident the experience was so poor. The menu is lame, and the Bloody Mary bar was so so sad.

Recently stopped in for a quick lunch, Birria tacos were killer. Very unconventional tacos if you are up for trying something new. The sauce they serve with is similar to a spicy chili/tomato sauce and man were the good. Great service and killer food would 100% recommend.

Our server was great. The food? Just OK.Decided to stop on a Saturday for lunch. The lunch menu doesn't start until 2PM, we were 15 min early. Their weekend lunch us called "Anytime Eats". But you can't order them "Anytime".We had the beef nachos. They were OK, but the cheese sauce had a very odd texture, not smooth & creamy, definitely not melted shredded cheese.Their signature bar chips were either fried in old oil or were cooked too long, tasted burnt. They're planning a remod. We'll try it once more. Not impressed with our first visit.

You ever wonder what sort of food a place called "The Commons" would make? Well. I'll tell you, this place is GREAT!I had their turkey sandwich. I don't know what kind of froofy name they gave it, it really doesn't matter what the name is. It doesn't matter. It's a turkey sandwich with lettuce, avocado, and an aoli of some kind.It was amazing. Full stop.Chewy bread, the turkey is flavorful, the bacon was crunchy but not hard. The atmosphere is "industrial hipster" which I'm personally not a fan of, but a lot of people like the clean lines and metal overtones. All in all, I'd call it a hidden jem with a bit of mud, but wash off the mud from its previous owners and you'll find an absolutely wonderful place to eat.

We popped into Commons 1882 last week for a late lunch. The restaurant was pretty much empty except one table in the far corner, so we were able to pick wherever we wanted in order to sit. The menu is via QR code, which is fine, but the building does not get the best cell reception in the world and the wifi password wasn't posted anywhere near our table, so we did have to wait for our server before we could even take a look at the menu. Our excellent server came by with waters and took our drink orders. I had the Huckleberry Lemondrop to start, which was a big winner! Just the right amount of Huckleberry and Lemon so that neither was overpowering and not too horribly sweet. Once we reviewed the menu, I decided to give the Brussel sprouts a go. I wasn't particularly hungry and they were on the appetizer menu, so I figured they'd make a good snack. When the food came out, the dish was HUGE! That appetizer could have been a meal for two. The Brussel sprouts and bacon were cooked to perfection and topped with a nice sauce. Only issue was that there was way way too much sauce on it and it overpowered the other flavors. I found myself scraping the sauce off in order to enjoy it. Good dish, but the sprouts don't need to be swimming in sauce. I also had a local wheat beer from the bar, the White Noise, which was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent the whole time we were there, the atmosphere is great, and the prices very reasonable. We'll definitely be back when we visit Billings in the future.

On this visit to Montana we were introduced to a few new places including Commons. I very much enjoy the dining area. The layout is nice and open. I had the calamari which was pretty good. My husband ordered the brussel sprouts which were good but way too much Alfredo sauce. The service was attentive. I ordered a rosé but unfortunately it was a sparkling. I do t recall seeing that on the menu and wish servers would let you know that is the only option. Clearly not a fan of sparkling. I wish I had a chance to try more of the menu but next time we are in MT this will be one of our stops!

Robert provided excellent, continuous service to our group of seven. The breakfast was disappointing, tough biscuits, a fritatta was passed off as an omelette and the coffee, although plentiful was bitter and acidic. I've been here before and was disappointed that they were having such a rough morning, nothing at all like my first visit. They are worth a second chance though and other members of the party found more satisfaction than I.

Interesting menu. Unique choices and combinations of flavors and entries. Very good burgers and fries. The design of the dining room, bar and patios give you many options for your dining pleasure.

Great atmosphere, fantastic drink list. Our server was attentive, even let us try on tap beer before we ordered our choice to make sure we liked it! This may be a new haunt!!

Wow! All I can say is mmmmm mmmmm. Only been twice so don’t have all my favs yet but so far the salmon, mahi, sliders, nachos and Thai coconut shrimp is absolutely amazing! The martinis are spot on with a large cocktail selection as well! Definitely my new favorite restaurant in town!

My 8oz tenderloin steak with garlic herb compound butter, roasted red potatoes, and asparagus was so good I almost forgot to photograph it. The atmosphere was cozy and moody, they played great music but if you have a hard time hearing with a lot of background noise, you might miss out on the conversation. I’d definitely go back for the high quality steak. They also have a great cocktail menu!

First time eating here. Saturday at 1pm, figured we were getting a lunch menu. After we had ordered beers we were told brunch only. Figured that should be told before being seated, or posted at door. Many others left for this reason after being seated as well. Brunch was nothing to rave home about, my menu item was not made to description. Many eye rolls from the server for small things like paying our check. Restaurant was not busy as the server had one other table.

The food was good, not great. Good basic flavors, but missing the subtle complexity that I was craving.
