“Good to very good food, staff are friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is like small-town friendly, like an old west watering hole. Upgrade might be good, but something would be lost at the same time.”
“I highly recommend Papa Rays! Traveling through we stopped to eat and the pizza was amazing! Zane the bartender even though he was busy was very friendly and courteous!”
“Really good food!! We got there during the lunch rush and the servers and cooks didn’t skip a beat. Service was great and food came out got and fast. Will be going to this spot over and over again when I visit ”
“Visiting from Florida, and this place was absolutely delicious! Got the steak breakfast burrito and it was fresh, hot, scrumptious and HUGE. Nice people, great prices, and homemade grub. Come try this spot! Open 7am-3”
“My ziti was the bomb! My wife's halibut (just flown in that day) was awesome. Fantastic experience with Tina our server. Will return next time we are in Helena.”
“Waitress was fantastic. Wife's gluten free waffles were incredible. My omelet was just okay. Hash browns on both our plates were lukewarm. Her scrambled eggs were a bit burnt. Might have had a better experience, if it wasn't Saturday morning.”
“I sincerely mean it when I say Sunflower is my favorite business in all of Helena. Incredibly kind owners and staff, in my opinion the best bread from any of the many wonderful Helena bakeries. Our family happily makes a regular stop from the other side of town for their goods.Everything is great, my favorites are:Classic sourdoughCinnamon Raisin loaf on SaturdaysBlack pepper cheddar baguettesThursday veggie sammies with sprouts and cream cheese on focacciaChocolate BabkaTahini braid thingsDietary restrictions: Vegan molasses cookie often available”
“We found Nosh as we parked to walk Downtown Helena. I viewed reviews on Google and thought I’d be a great lunch spot. We were delighted!Close to downtown shops, casual setup where you order food at the counter and they deliver it to the table. You can see a lot of the food preparation as you’re ordering. The staff was very sweet and slightly modified a meal I ordered. The chicken and waffles looked heavenly, although I was in the mood for something lighter. We ordered the Korean beef Broccoli, Green Goddess Salad, and a homemade biscuit with jelly. It was all very delicious, hit the spot, and our bellies left full and healthily happy. Some very healthy choices here!”
“Park Avenue has the best bread around! My favorite is the sour dough, but it's all delicious. Crusty, fresh...Don't even get me started on the decadent, gorgeous desserts! Definitely worth the calories!Parking: If just picking up try for a free 15 minute spot.”
“The beer is good and the views from the top floor are fantastic. You get a panoramic view of the city including Mt. Helena, the Cathedral, surrounding mountains, the Sleeping Giant and much more. You truly feel like you are in Big Sky Country when you sit on their deck and enjoy your beer while drinking in the view.”
“One of the best coffees I've ever had.So my go-to drink is a cortado, oat milk if they've got it. You can judge a place's (& the barista's) knowledge by what happens when you order one. If they ask for sizing, or number of espresso shots, or simply make you a latte - it sets the stage. At Montago, they didn't even blink. Served up the perfect cortado with a shot glass of sparkling water like it was their most common order. I never ask for a sparkling water sidecar, but if it shows up it's welcomed and I'm impressed. The vibe of the place is great too. High ceilings + industrial feel. Big enough to have several discreet areas to sit and talk, but still keeping everyone together for that sense of place. If I could rate with ½ or ¼ ⭐'s - I'd give them ... no seriously - they'd still get a full 5! ?(pictured: latte & cortado)”
“Super friendly staff and cool vibes. Grab some popcorn by the entrance and grab your favorite drink. An underrated drink is the nonalcoholic guava sparkling water. It’s made in house and good! There is an upstairs and an outdoor porch which has a cool view for people watching. This place has great beers which can be in pints, growlers and kegs.”
“Polish Sausage, Ham, & Lentil soup ? is 5 stars on it's own! The chicken curry soup ? is also superb!! I don't know that a Gyro, Pint of soup, and a Greek salad is worth $35 but the soup is excellent!!”
“We have never had anything remotely bad from here. Always delicious pizza, cooked and made right, very friendly atmosphere. They make it easy with online ordering. I wish all the restaurants in Helena were as good.”
“Small little restaurant attached to a casino. Very busy on a Friday night but we'll worth the wait. Staff was friendly and service was quick. The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend stopping in if you happen to be in Helena!”
“My absolute favorite place to "wine" down. Everyone there really knows the wines but more importantly they get to know you and your individual tastes. The meats and cheeses are the highest quality and there is a great selection of wines by the glass or the bottle for whatever you crave. it's one of the best businesses in Helena.”
“When a stranger heard that I was heading to Helena, they told me to not miss Big Dipper Ice Cream. Located on a cute pedestrian street, I was impressed that even on a slow morning, there was still a few people ordering ahead of me. I asked what their top flavor was, and was told that it was huckleberry. I have gone huckleberry picking in California before, so I was quite excited to try the ice cream. I wouldn't say that it was the richest/creamiest ice cream that I've ever had, but it was quite nice. Minimal crystalization, just the right amount of sweet, pleasant flavor. It wasn't all that cozy inside, so I opted for the to-go option, as did everyone else before me, but there is a decent amount of seating for days where you don't want to eat ice cream outdoors.”
“The restaurant has a chic atmophere, may need to upgrade the carpet or to hard flooring for cleanliness reason. There is entertainment on fridays with piano & saxophone, great for dates. The burger is real meat, no fillers with mashed up potatoes. The salmon is really cooked to perfection with mashed up potatoes. The tomatoe bisque is heartwarming. It is paired with local white wine. I was anticipating the bison steak on stick for our appetizers, but did not come. Was overlooked but I was glad because we were already stuffed from our entre, but have room to appeal our sweet palate with delectable creme brulee. Highly recommended for wholesome dining.”
“Jamie is AH-Mazing!!!! And everyone in there! All have super killer customer service and are knowledgeable. The text to order ahead is a dream. I had never heard of Herbalife but once I had a “peach ring” tea I was hooked!!! A drink that tasted like a candy!? It’s a no brainer. Especially without sugar AND doesn’t have the weird aftertaste of a sugar substitute. Only thing that could get me off my 5 coffee a day habit! Very thankful and highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“An amazing coffee shop and general store. I love the vibe of this shop. It’s such a cool place that you can easily spend 20 min at. It’s also a cool local spot. I’d recommend coming here if you want a cup of coffee or get some cool gifts for a wide variety of people. The inner fire latte is really good!Dietary restrictions: They have oat, soy and regular milkParking: This location is downtown so it’s tough to find a spot at certain timesKid-friendliness: Lots of kid items for them to look at”
“We were in Helena for a weekend visit and we're overjoyed to find Village Inn! It brought back so many fond childhood memories ? The gluten-free crust was perfect!”
“Good place for coffee and breakfast or lunch sandwiches. Not much in low carb keto options, which would be nice to have too. Nice seating areas including couches to relax in though only a couple of tables outside.”
“I loved the smoothie and the whole experience while me and my family were in Helena for my cousins wedding and we drove all the way from Michigan but oh my gosh that smoothie was so good the huckleberry is popular in Montana and I know why now but the girl was so nice and the service was amazing!!”
“Good brewery! Came down here from Great Falls to explore! The bartender was super cool, she gave me a free beer because she forgot about me for a minute. (Which wasn’t a big deal to me because it was busy.)”
“One gal that works there always seems so moody. Acts like she's something special and you ordering coffee is really a bother to her. Everyone else is great and the coffee is yum!!”
“The gyro is overwhelmingly delicious. Stuffed with meat, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, big chunks of feta cheese, a great taziki sauce, and french fries! I gave 5 stars for atmosphere because it's a food truck and I got to eat at home. Perfect treat for dinner.”
“I had a great solo visit here but this place is really also ideal for large groups. They have a great amount of space with amble room for live entertainment. They had some really great beers and I’d definitely recommend going for the flight on your first visit. It’s authentically Montana and their pizza is also a crowd favorite when visiting Helena.”
“This is my favorite quick service Mexican restaurant in Helena! Their chips come with extra seasonings that put them a step above the rest, and every entrée I've tasted has been delicious. ? Be sure to follow them on FB as well!! During weather related closures, they offer family sized meal pickups that are very reasonably priced.”
“Amazing food!! Never had an issue there.Parking: It's a locally owned and ran. Amazing people and food!!Wheelchair accessibility: It's ground level, and they offer handicap parking .”
