My heart aches for the magnificent beings that make the Gibson Park their dwelling. Graceful waterfowl glide effortlessly over a murky, black mass of water that appears to bear witness to the neglect of our fair city since time immemorial. The daunting task of maintaining a clean and pristine park has been woefully neglected with no oversight or active maintenance. It beggars belief that taxpayers are burdened with surcharges while our parks remain in such a state of disarray.

I have find memories of this park, my mother took me here often. Now as a father of 2 I can bring my own children here with nostalgia at heart. Love feeding the birds, kids have twice as much fun feeding the birds.

Beautiful park , I love taking walks here , and the duck pond is a hit with the kids. They have an updated playground for smaller children and one that's more for bigger kids. There is a beautiful flower garden that is a must see in the spring. They also have a skate park that is very popular if that's something your into. I love to visit this park. A must do and see in the spring and summer , they have a little concession stand in the warmer months and you can get healthy feed for the ducks at this little stand. There are activities to do in the summer like movies in the park, live music , and story time. Lots to do with the family in this beautiful well maintained park.

A well maintained park. The duck pond is a beautiful feature and a favorite for kids. Duck food is available to buy from a stand nearby.

My absolute favorite park in Great Falls. The location is perfect to park, feed the birds and walk to town for lunch. I recommend Tracy's! This would make a great casual date. There are so many water birds there to feed and watch. Don't bring bread to feed, as this causes stomach issues. The food you can buy is only 75 cents a bag. They can eat a lot of different fruits and veggies if the store is closed. There is a lot of resources online with bird friendly tips. I just cannot express how fun it was to watch all the birds eating and quaking at us. I even fed one of the tamer ducks from my hand. Baby ducks were everywhere! So precious! Such a gem of a park. I wish I lived closer so I could visit all the time.

So therapeutic to feed the ducks and birds. I always buy 2-3 bags of feed and just feed away. I always leave feeling better.

This is a great park as ND well worth spending the time for a quick visit. It's big with lots of options. We went to see the ducks and geese. Saw a new goose (maybe a Chinese?). There is a nice children's play area, picnic tables, and some courts. Walking trails and what I think was a bike trail.

I liked this Gibson Park located right outside downtown Great Falls, Montana. I spent the day here yesterday (Sunday) just casually walking about the many paths/trails while of course...saying hello to all the ducks! And that's probably the claim to fame for Gibson Park. It is a nesting area or haven (or call it what you will) for hundreds of Canadian Geese, seagulls and members of the birding family. They all cohabitate together here set around a charming giant pond. So then you may be asking, why only 3 stars? Well, this park could really use a refurbishing. Like, for a day or a week, it needs to cleaned up. The amount of bird p*** and small trashy items lying around were pretty evident. Walking beside the lakefront, it just felt like you're stepping on soft manure. And it made for a pretty rundown setting. But really, Gibson Park has tremendous potential. If it were a little more polished, this place could be 5 stars. Regardless, for a quiet Sunday afternoon going for a stroll and taking in some fresh air...I was happy I stopped on by here. I appreciated how some of the mamma ducks had little ducklings following them around. That's just a scene of pure innocence and heart warming. There are paved walkways, plenty of beaches to sit down on, free public restrooms, lots of grassy area to play with your dog, a playground, a skateboard park (but that was covered in graffiti) and even a snack stand area beside the duck pond. For the snack shack, they sell these slushes for $5.25 in a variety of flavors. Also on the outside menu board was cotton candy, nachos, pretzels, popcorn, candy and chips, ya know, all the good stuff that caters to kids, lol. Overall, if you do anything here, I would suggest taking some food with ya to feed the geese and ducks. I brought some pretzels with me (which I crushed up) and put pieces in the palm of my hand which the geese happily and harmlessly pecked out of my hand. So, I guess, I'm also guilty of contributing to the p*** around the pond just as everyone else has, lol. Lastly, I'm pretty surprised Gibson Park has only 2 reviews? For a springtime Sunday, there were a lot young families and children present that you'd think this place would receive more recognition? Or, maybe just folks here in Great Falls, MT don't do much Yelping, lol. Either way, I did enjoy my time here and was able to overlook all the stains embedded in the pavement.

Wonderful park. Nice playground equipment \u0026 lots of benches. Would like to have had tables closer to the playground area. There is also a large duck pond with paved walking path all the way around.

2 large sets of fun equipment for the kiddos. Also a couple of swing sets, other various neat play things and lots of area for running. Seemed very well maintatned, and in a nice area. Will definitely be frequenting this park often.

I think this is the best park in Great Falls. There are play areas suitable for bigger and smaller kids. You can also follow the walking trail around the ponds where you can see ducks, geese, swans, and sometimes pelicans. Or go through a small tunnel to the skate park.
