We tend to be picky breakfast eaters and I loved the breakfast here. The waiter was kind enough to allow us to sit by the fireplace as it was cold. The breakfast was fresh, delicious and did not include fake processed ingredients. Loved the cottage and black bear feel. I was surprised it was not busier. There was only one waiter working but he was hustling. Too many more customers would have made it difficult I am sure. I would most definitely eat here again.

Very nice atmospere inside and out. The restaurant was pretty quiet the evening of our visit. Our server, Brandie, was excellent! The food was quite good... not "great". Then again, this is family type restaurant, not a high end establishment! I would recommend this restaurant to friends.

Wanted to try something new, we stopped and they weren't very busy but it took our server 20 mins before coming to get our order, including drinks. It took until our food came out that we finally got our drinks. I had French toast and one piece was still soggy and mushyI probably won't return!

Eric (sp) was our server. From start to finish there were three other tables in the restaurant, not including our party. Our server took a rather long time to take our order, so long in fact that another person in our group had enough time between sitting down and receiving our food to drive clear across town to join us and we still had only received drinks.When the order was finished the food arrived and was not correct. Some meals were delicious and others were just not made correctly or did not have fresh ingredients.The ambiance of the restaurant was phenomenal. Watching other people walk in and not be seated was very discouraging.Seems to me this establishment could use restaffing.I will not return

In town for a couple days, had dinner here this evening. This place was neat, I liked the decor. My food was cooked quickly and perfectly. I personally didn’t care for the sauce that came on it but that was a preference thing. The staff and I believe manager were so nice and unnecessarily apologetic. Once again, the dislike for the sauce was a personal taste. I’m still going 5 stars because the staff. Oh and before I forget, I picked up a bread pudding on the way out, AMAZING! 10 stars for that alone! I will return next time I’m in town.

Today we ordered 2 2 egg combo, mine was to be hash browns over medium and bacon (Out of Ham). We waited and waited 25 mins in the waiter comes back and confirms our order. 45 mins in no food. We told them we were not able to wait any longer. They said oh your order is right here. (food just tossed on the plates. Hash browns not cooked, bacon burnt my over medium was scrambled , had to wait 5 mins more for toast that was to come with our order one not cooked one burnt black. All they wanted to offer us off was 10% off, the same amount they give to every military person. So it really isn't a % off for terrible service and food. Terrible place to eat this is the 3rd time I have been there and every time is a major screw up. Will never go back!

Went there for breakfast today and we both got the steak and egg special. Our server Eric was great! The host, maybe named Daniel (name on the receipt), was also great. The food was really good! We'll be back. The only thing I wish for was different jam options.
We were seated very quickly and the server appeared shortly thereafter. The food was slow coming out of the kitchen and was tepid. I had the Tri Tip and despite the tepid temperature, it was delicious even though it was over cooked. The turkey gravy was tasteless and the green beans severely overcooked. My husband enjoyed his pot roast and said the beef gravy was good. The restaurant didn’t seem that busy but the servers were almost running to provide prompt service. We ordered a bread pudding for take out. If you haven’t tried it, you should. We always get it to take home as a real treat and one serving is enough for two people to enjoy twice. The food prices were reasonable and the restaurant suitable for families.

Today was my first day back from my deployment Africa and this place was recommended to me by my fellow service members. Worst experience of my life I’d rather be back in Africa. Brenda is the rudest person I’ve ever encountered in my life. She ignored me and my friends who are all African American as we were sat in her section and did not glance at us ONCE. She continued to serve other customers around us who were not our race (you do the math). We finally got up and found Grace who came and helped us herself, she was an amazing person and hostess to us, we spoke to the manager about Brenda and he immediately spoke to her and she later came and fake apologized. I recommend everything about this place BUT Brenda.

My friends and I all went to the Black Bear Dinner. We waited 20 mins before I got up and asked was somebody going to help us. Grace came and gave us great customer service. Brenda however, was suppose to be our waiter. She ignored us the entire time, she would not make eye contact with us either. She was helping all the other guest, besides us. Im glad to see everyone else had a great experience with her, but as a black woman it was very clear what was going on.

The ONLY reason I gave a 4 for service is we had to wait a while for our drinks. The waitress we had was phenomenal despite not usually being a waitress and explained to us why it took so long for the drinks. She apologized multiple times and after that things were great. The food was delicious and everyone friendly. Would 100% eat here again if in the neighborhood

Brenda is awful. In all my years on Gods green earth Brenda is the worst thing I've ever experienced. Me and my friends who happen to be African American were put in Brendas section, she ignored us the entire time we were there served multiple tables around us for 30 minutes before we finally got up and found Grace. Grace was an absolute angel and helped us the entire time we were there. We spoke to a manager he wasted no time helping us! Brenda gave us a fake ass apology after he said something to her. The food was great tho.
