I’ve been going to Taco del Sol since 2009. Love the burritos, especially the 14” regular fish burrito with pinto, gorgonzola, cabbage, jalapeños, and the white sauce. It’s a great, local burrito joint with good food and a great vibe. That being said, you can tell that the post-pandemic changes in Missoula have impacted this place: reduced hours and price increases that, in my opinion, seem to have outpaced CPI (owing to labor shortage?) I hope people still get their burritos here and not from the national, corporate burrito chains that have arrived on reserve street. This place is wonderful, has a great menu, and always friendly people. I could eat here every day and would be super happy about it!

Update:Still a fabulous burrito, love the burrito bowls! The folks making the bowls are friendly and good at checking for correct ingredients as usual :)In addition, we got fabulous service from the staff going around right as we finished, she picked up our baskets, wiped our table right after we got up, was offering to take others baskets, and just generally keeping the place clean. To boot, she's super friendly!Great burrito, decent price, and excellent friendly, helpful, and fast service!!

Apparently, it is too challenging for their employees to make nachos, so they decided to replace their nachos with a "Nacho Bowl." The nacho bowl was awful and poorly executed, cold cheese spread over warm beans, and an extra $3 to add the meat. The added meat left a nasty puddle of water in the bottom of the bowl. There was a sign hanging on their fridge with bullet points highlighting the ease of making the bowl and the lack of microwaving as the reason for the change. How hard is it to microwave a bowl of chips with cheese on them... Another very disappointing experience from a restaurant I have been going to for many years. It will be a long time before I go back unfortunately.

Love their burritos but was disappointed to drive across town and find out that they are NOt, in fact, open until 7:30. Please update your Google listing.
Ground beef tacos were good but steak taco and pork taco was bland and dry.

Fly infested.Been a long time customer here but there fly problem is absolutely disgusting. It's been going on for months but my last trip was the last straw. There were multiple flies landing on the food being made, flying in the employees faces as well as ours in line, and even saw a dead one floating in the beans. When I asked the manager about it she told me the owner didn't really seem to care what went on in his stores. Really disappointed. This was at the brooks location by Starbucks.

It is a sad thing to report. We have been going to Taco del Sol for over 22 years. I have put their sticker on my skis and sent my son to college in Utah with their branded t-shirt. We have been patient with the downward slide of service and quality for over a year.Today we called and left a message about our experience. My to go full fish burrito was made so poorly, it broke wide open while being made...they just wrapped another tortilla shell around it...it did not have what I ordered on it.My wife's fish taco was supposed to have everything and it only had white sauce. I could tell it was a new employee... And let's face it, every small business is facing challenges finding people.However, I hope they turn it around before losing more long-term customers.

I’m not leaving a 1 star review because the pork burrito was bland and tasteless, which it was. I’m not leaving a 1 star review because they stopped cooking fish at 2:20, and all I ever eat here is the fish burrito. It’s not even about the stale chips that they charged me $3 dollars for.There is a hand written sign that says “sorry, we’re closing at 3:00 today”In my head, “okay great, that leaves us 40 minutes, no problem!”But no, they didn’t even let us eat our meal in the shop. They offered us a seat in the parking lot… it’s 92 degrees outside. What, you’re not gonna be able to wipe down the table in 20 minutes??Have a little professionalism please, you’re a business.
