“I went to St. James Gate after a long day of travel, and found it a good place to relax and enjoy a good meal with my son. My only complaint is that the server, while a friendly and welcoming young woman, did not ask me how I liked my steak done. I was enjoying my visit with my son, and forgot to mention my preference. The steak was cooked to medium, whereas I enjoy a steak on the rare side of medium rare. Therefore, it was not as juicy as I like it. I would suggest it is important to ask the customer about this. Otherwise, everything else was excellent!“

“This is a great pub. It has the worst washrooms in the Greater Moncton Area. I almost vomited from the smell and standing in a puddle of urine (and, no, it was unavoidable). But the graffiti on the wall served as an adequate distraction. It was an encyclopedia of street knowledge, including the wants and needs of overweight women.Nobody at the bar was very friendly, and the bartender wasn't very attentive. But that's because the place is a neighborhood dive bar and the patrons are a little territorial. And there's nothing wrong with that.If you want a good dive bar in Moncton, this is the place.“

The atmosphere is so cozy with the set up and music. The service from our waitress was great. She was on point. We will be back and will be regular customers.
