Not going to lie. I was looking forward to dining here since moving to the area last year. It looked like a sure bet for a nice dinner out. Honestly I can't comment on the food as we didn't order. We entered and were greeted kind of?? The volume of music near the first table we were offered was LOUD..no problem..moved to another table near the window. It was literally hard to focus on menu selection with the music volume and nature of the music. I love music and we play music at home at dinner but this was crazy. I suppose I could have asked to have it turned down but it's not "my house". In the meantime the curtains next to us were beyond filthy...really! And a lot of the visible area was dirty?? Why? If the dining area is dirty what is back of house like where we can't see? I fully realize it is a "cabin" but even cabins can be clean. Not like the menu was any cheaper than any other similar restaurant in town. Perhaps I missed out big time?? I will never know. Best of luck as I do love supporting independent restaurants.

Growing up in Fredericton, The Cabin has always been a comforting experience for me. Recently, I decided to introduce a couple of friends who aren't from here to the restaurant. Unfortunately, our visit was marred by an unpleasant encounter with an older, blond woman who seems to work every Tuesday.Throughout the day, she exhibited condescending and rude behavior towards us. My order, a turkey dinner, arrived as a hot turkey sandwich. When I brought this to her attention, she insisted that I was mistaken and refused to acknowledge the error.Despite the familiar taste of the food from my childhood, the overall experience was overshadowed by the woman's rudeness. The atmosphere conveyed an attitude of indifference, as if they were successful with or without our patronage. Disheartened by the poor service, my friends and I have decided to explore other restaurants in the future, and we will not be returning to The Cabin.

I've learned that the Cabin is an institution in Fredericton. You can clearly see that from the reviews. If you're looking for that classic diner feel with nice staff, the Cabin is your place. If you care about the quality of food at all, however, go somewhere else. My wife and I spent $50 combined on very subpar food. I got a wrap that was small and ridiculously dry. My wife got a burger that was, again, small and very lacking in flavour and colour. Both came with a mountain of what tasted like oven crinkle cut fries.I was disappointed having heard so many great things. The ratings and high reviews seem to be purely a result of nostalgia or a time before the quality dipped to what it is now. I'm giving it a 2 for the kind staff, but I wouldn't recommend it.

A classic roadside diner experience. I've been going here for years. When I bring folks there from out of town they are absolutely amazed.

Even though the Cabin does not really offer vegan choices , we like to come here to eat.Always good quality food items with good taste. The pieces went up quite a bit over the year, but the Cabin is still one of our favorite places to go.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp

Great food, customer service and atmosphere is friendly and cozy. The can be a little bit stronger, but their pancakes are amazing, we always choose them over the coffee mill, better portions and prices.Kid-friendliness: Their pancakes are huge, so we just do the order of pancakes and we split it among the kids, pretty sweet deal! :)
