Right off the bat. The food was fantastic! The steak was cooked in a rub, which gave it a crispy outside and soft texture on the inside. Carrots could have used a minute longer to steam but the broccoli and zucchini was perfect. The Ceasar was nice and spicy. Service is where it lacks a bit. especially when they drop some of my food onto the floor! Pity.

I would like to start out this review by stating that I had previously written a review in my capacity as a concierge for another restaurant owned by this individual. In response, the owner threatened to come into my workplace and falsely accuse me of slander. In spite of me informing him that at the time of his message I was in the hospital with my son who was recovering from surgery he proceeded to threaten me, including threats that if a post written by someone else was not removed (the author of that post has advised me that the owner also intimidated him as a result of his review), he was going to harass me at my workplace. I have since returned to work and have been assured by my HR that they would not even engage him in listening to these accusations and that they would never violate my charter right to free expression. I have evidence of this threat as well as of the many cases of bullying and harassment following:It is this practice of bullying that prompts me to write this review. Although I have never been employed by this organization, the owners and management have stalked my social media, threatened and harassed me for several months. This includes printing off my personal social media posts and using them to disparage my character behind my back at a management meeting, threats that my social media would be monitored and that if management ever saw anything that that they did not approve of there would be consequences and enough bullying and intimidation that I was obligated to send a cease and desist letter.As of September 2023, Churchills was operating without an anti-harassment or an anti-violence in the workplace policy as they are obligated to have by law (that employees were privy to) worksafe nb can verify my reporting of this violation.I became aware of this when my 18-year-old daughter accepted a job at this location. She worked very hard and was eager to please in her first job. Things went well in the beginning until a new hostess – who was related to one of the supervisors – was hired and my daughter was no longer treated with any dignity or respect. Among the turmoil she endured was being berated and humiliated in front of other staff and customers, as well as being talked down to and demeaned. The biggest issue began when management would cut her shifts mere hours before she was scheduled to come in to work. This happened several times a week to a point where she could not sustain her employment there any longer as she was effectively constructively dismissed. When she appealed to management regarding this, she was told that management has no choice but to cut her hours in this manner in order to maximize profit for the business. (I have the screenshots of this conversation) This led to a severe decline in her mental health and ultimately in her quitting.In an effort to resolve the problem we appealed to the sous chef at the time who agreed to discuss this poor behavior with senior management. It was at this time that the attack on my personal character began. In spite of drafting a 40-page letter containing all of the atrocities that had occurred he was advised that the company is entitled to behave this way and that they were not obligated to have or to implement an anti-harassment policy in their work place. We also have a screenshot of the owner advising this sous chef that it was none of his business how the owner chooses to run his establishment, and ultimately chose to fire this sous chef for attempting to compel him to implement the obligatory anti-harassment policy.The management and owner of this restaurant have been very pleased to treat an 18 year old girl this way and have continued to attempt to intimidate and bully us into silence. I would personally never support a business who practices routine abuse of its young employees. It terrifies me to think that another young person would be forced to endure this nightmare. I have been a youth advocate my entire life. this is a dangerous situation that needs to end.

I ordered a burger from door dash they sent me this…. Completely raw… when I asked the dash driver for the drink that I ordered and he said he never got a drink. Please avoid this place at all

as someone who is ...very familiar... with this kitchen/restaurant i'll say that yes there were "unwanted guests" roaming the kitchen at night, dirty tongs were constantly used, steaks were held under a heat lamp for extended periods of time for no reason, steaks were kept in canboros with blood in fridges that if i recall correctly were not getting up to temperature. it was quite a nasty place to be honest. montanas has better food just gonna throw it out there. and the blackened dredge they use as an option for their steaks would sit in a container for multiple days if not weeks which should be thrown out after every shift because it's been contaminated and i think realistically is only safe for up to 4 hours. but what do i know

The management abuses wait staff and the owner turns a blind eye. I've seen grease leaking through the floor onto clean glasses in the bar, and I've seen the dishwasher leaking through the floor (your dishes weren't cleaned properly). Chris Grannan the owner has attempted to cover up multiple reported workplace injuries caused by less than adequate working conditions. Churchills is a detriment to Saint John.
Quite possibly the best food in the maritimes. Best muscles ive ever had and we’re from pei…absolutely delicious and surprisingly reasonable prices. They use real Real cheese, tender beef, everything perfectly seasoned it was heavenly. As long as they keep the prices reasonable we’ll be back!!
