It's a comfortable place to relax and enjoy your meal. The waitresses are very friendly and the food is usually very good. No matter where you go you will have one time when you weren't completely satisfied but that doesn't happen very often at topps!

Simple food done well and at good prices. Been going here since 1989. Waitresses used to carry our crying baby so we could eat. Clean tables and professional waitresses. Bathrooms are a bit cold. They only accept cash... no debit machine...so not always convenient.Parking: Free off street Parking lot on the union st side. Very convenient. And did I say free?!!

My FAVOURITE part about Tops Restaurant is that it's still very much like an old timey dinner! Complete with milkshakes, diner style burgers and fries, home cooked meals for supper (just like grandma used to make) AAAAND a stellar breakfast menu! ? Chefs kiss! ????They take CASH ONLY, but is still so worth the stop! Also, the quote on the menu states, "No WiFi here! Just talk to each other, and pretended it's 1996 again!" It literally takes me back to when I was a child and I swore that it was Saint John's version of the Seinfeld restaurant ! LOLI feel like, if you've been a resident of Saint John for 10+ years, you've ALSO had the pleasure of dining here. Anytime that I go by it, it seems pretty bustling. I 100% recommend it!Enjoy some delicious food, great service and step back in time for a little while!Parking: Parking is to the right of the restaurant. In the parking lot between the max & topsKid-friendliness: They have toddler booster seats that can be brought out to your table.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs to get in or out

Friendly and quick, waitress was lovely. A clean basic no frills diner, full of people chatting and reading the paper, relaxing atmosphere! Food was great, lots of coffee refills :)
