Recently this establishment was bought by one of the best Chef's in the area, Kevin Arevalo. He also worked at highly revered "The Table" in Asheboro, N.C. Nothing but pure excellence there that he has now brought into his own restaurant! He's a super nice guy and his food is nothing short of spectacular! I'd recommend the Philly Omelet or the Chicken & Eggs plate. It's tremendous! Stop by and check this place out. The wait staff is very nice as well!

Nice, clean looking cafe when you walk in. Typical breakfast menu. Server arrived quickly to get drink order. When she returned, I ordered 2 eggs, sausage, extra crispy hash browns, & toast. I waited for what seemed a VERY long time for my food. The restaurant was not busy, only 3 or 4 other tables & they already had food. Hash browns were not extra crispy & I sent them back. Sausage was cheap quality & not very flavorful. Toast was unbuttered & no butter available on table. Mediocre experience at best. Many better breakfast choices in town.

The Veggie Omelette was good as well as the pancakes. My husband got sausage and egg scramble and said it was good. I ordered hash browns with my omelette but they didn’t arrive until I was finished. There was no apology for the delay and in fact, the waitress never came to our table to ask if we needed anything. Food is okay, if you get it. Service, not so great.

If I could give our servers more than 5 stars I would. They have a bakery in the diner and next time, I am going to buy some of the baked deliciousness. So the food isn't pretty but it IS DELICIOUS! They also have a sign at the register that they have a senior discount too on top of everything!!!! What good food. Amazing baked goods and a senior discount.

Took our reservation for a holiday luncheon and when we arrived, there was a note taped to the window saying they had started closing that day of the week. Never bothered to contact us. Luckily DAVIDS was happy to accommodate our group. We will NEVER recommend the 42 Diner due to their total lack of professionalism and consideration.
