I really like the food here! My mum and I pick up the Diablo verde burritos with chips and guacamole every time we come. Its really delicious and packed with flavor. The Guacamole tastes fresh and creamy but needs some seasoning like salt/lemon. The burrito like I said is really tasty and has quality ingredients in it like no evil foods, kale, beans, pickled onions, cauliflower rice. The staff is always super friendly and always a pleasure to get the food from. I definitely recommend this place.

After expending my light breakfast of yogurt and a peach hiking around Craggy Garden, my late lunch at AVL Tacos was much needed. This no frills taco stand has brightly painted luchadors on the building and a menu to satisfy all folks. My hiking buddy is a vegetarian and I'm vegan but plenty of meat lovers were driving thru for food while we waited for our order in the small seating area in the parking lot. My friend had the Diablo Verde taco ($4.49) and a small order of chips, queso, and salsa. I was starving, so went with the Diablo Verde burrito ($8.49) and shared her chips & salsa. The taco was a corn soft shell and my burrito was a white flour one. Both had veggie protein (think the fake meat was No Evil which is locally made), pickled onions, cilantro, and roasted red pepper Baja sauce. My burrito also had rice and black beanstalks bulk it up. What a delicious combination! The burrito was well wrapped, thank goodness, and came in the typical foil wrapping. All the ingredients worked perfectly together - the spice was flavorful and the heat was just enough. Wished I had more time in Asheville to try the other veggie items on the menu. Highly recommend if you're looking for a quick, affordable meal for vegans, vegetarians, or omnivores. Everyone will walk away full and happy!

Delicious and unique flavors made with high quality ingredients. Plenty of vegan options. The only downside is the tacos are small. Someone with a big appetite would need to order at least three.

Driven through twice now and have not been disappointed yet! Tacos are priced fairly and delicious. There's a little area to sit outside your car to eat also which was nice. Totally recommend this spot for a quick lunch!

Pretty darn good tacos for a drive-thru! Oh, and there's beer! Try a couple of Gaucho tacos with a Rocket Girl beer from Asheville Pizza Company. Yum!

OMG!! Went here for the first time today. It was soooo good. The food was so full of flavor, fresh and the portion size is great! Reasonable prices. Getting food like that in a drive thru... That's just too easy! It was a 5 star experience...we will definitely be back.

This place is good. Owned by some of the same people as Asheville Pizza. Food is fresh and fast. I like the option of ordering mucho to get that little bit extra. We get queso everytime we go because it's so addicting. You can also get your growler filled, although now days I don't think you can bring your own.

I’ve been a fan of AVL tacos for a while and their friendly staff. They’re ‘unique’ in flavoring and not what I make at home or what I grew up with in Nuevo Mejico, by generally always good. But the quality has been in a slide and what was a generous taco is now a skimpy taco, which isn’t acceptable when it’s 22 bucks for six tacos. Tonight the tacos were so bare that the taco shells were closed at the top, not even enough filling to even open the shell. At that cost skimpy doesn’t work, when you taste more shell than filling I feel ripped off.
