Stopped in for dinner. I had the fish and chips that were good. My friend had the shepherd pie and potato skins. She enjoyed the skins and said the pie was ok. It tasted more like chili to her. The staff was very attentive and very friendly.

Both times I’ve tried to do a delivery for this place (which btw, means that I’m making THEM money, not just me) the staff has been uncooperative, condescending and rude. Making my job 10x harder and then playing the victim when I get frustrated. I’ve never eaten here but I never will and I refuse to accept deliveries from this place ever again. Guess they’re the kind of business who only cares about the tourists, not the locals who are supporting them. FIX YOUR SYSTEM AND STOP BLAMING DASHERS.

Had dinner here. Decent food. Starters were a bit overdone but they were really shorthanded. The dinner was really tasty.

My sister and I enjoyed this restaurant very much. We actually dined here two times in three days! The food was delicious, and the service was exceptional! Our server was so friendly and helpful. Looking forward to returning to Asheville to enjoy the tasty food and welcoming atmosphere that we enjoyed here!

Visited another Irish Pub before this one but they didn’t have Irish food on the menu. After visiting Ireland we look for Pubs with Irish beer and food. Top notch for Asheville. Visiting from GA for the day.

The Claddagh is to a true Irish pub as Taco Bell is to a true Mexican cantina. Had the fish and chips, nothing special there. Still had St. Paddy's day decorations up on the walls three days after the holiday, a good indicator of how much they care about cleaning the place. Expensive for what you get because they're paying the downtown Asheville rent and milking the tourists. But the bartender, the only person working in the place on a slow afternoon, was the crowning jewel of the experience. How in the name of all that's holy do you call yourself an Irish pub when your barman can't pour a Guinness? He poured the first part, let it sit for too long, and then overpoured when finishing up the drink. Washed two thirds of the head down the side of the glass then hosed it down with a water bottle like any other beer. And when I pointed this out to him, that he'd just ruined the drink, he still served it to me while happily announcing that he'd only been waiting tables and bartending for three months. I was happy at the idea that Asheville would finally have an Irish pub, but it looks like I'm still going to have to wait for one.

Good was just mediocre. Had much better Irish food for sure. We had onion rings, the Ruben egg rolls, and the fish and chips. You could tell the oil was dirty and needed changing. Service, however, was good, and the beer selection was also good. It would be a good place for drinking but not for food.

Me and my wife love this place! Every time we stop in Asheville we come by and grab a drink and something to eat. Large beer selection, but being able to get a great black and tan or car bomb is even better. Charlotte, our bartender is always amazing and not only takes care of us, but suggests other great places to visit while we are in town. Shepard’s pie and fish and chips are a must try!Kid-friendliness: Our daughter felt comfortable hanging out and enjoyed the food.

we were told grab any table and sat for about 30 minutes without any other greeting, then went to the bar to ask what's going on and were told it'll be awhile

The food was excellent. The service was terrible. There was no greeter so we seated ourselves and no one spoke to us for 10 minutes. When a server finally approached us, we asked to be seated at another table due to the draft coming from the entry door.We were moved to a table which had not yet been cleaned. The server wiped down the table and left it soaking wet. We took napkins and dried the table. Our server was Charlotte T.She was very slow, unattentive, and unprofessional. We waiting another 15 minutes for our order to be taken. Finally, we ordered the Irish Chicken Pie and Beer Battered onion rings. The service was slow. The one saving grace was the Irish Chicken Pie tasted great. But the experience went down hill fast when we were overcharged. The menu shows the Beer Battered onion rings as a $1.75 up charge on the menu as shown on the included photo when added to a meal. The server overcharged us by 12 dollars for an Onion Ring Appetizer that does not appear on the menu. This was not caught until we had already checked out.I returned to the table to request the refund adjustment. The supervisor shown in the photo refused to fix the error and was extremely unprofessional. She talked loudly while customers listened to us argue about the issue. Finally, I asked for the owner's information to file a complaint the following week since the owner would not be available until then. The woman in the photo had a very aggressive and nasty attitude; offered no empathy, non-existent customer service skills, and unprofessional.I would never return....not because the food wasn't great; but because of how I was treated.I will ask the owner to fix the bill and to credit my card.I hope the owner promptly resolves the problem so that I don't have file a credit card dispute.Shameful....Parking: Parking was very difficult to find.

Came with the wife for Valentine’s Day. Place was not busy at all and we were able to be seated immediately. Waitress/bartender (Jessica) was very friendly and thoughtful with our table. We split an order of the Irish Nachos and they were very good. We ordered the mimosa flight and they were very good as well, especially for the price point. Overall a very enjoyable experience and we will definitely be coming back.
