Ordered online. Food over an hour late. Out of potatoes. Subbed fries. Still not in order received. Drink missing.Everything cold. Steak cooked rare instead of medium. Salad limp and warmer than the steak.

The restaurant was dead, should have been my first clue. No tp or paper towels in the bathroom. My broccoli is black and I sent back my Togo creamed corn because it looked like honey mustard - meaning it was about 90% cream and 10% corn. The kids tenders were burned. Just not a great experience when there are so many good restaurants in Asheville. We came here years ago and had a very different experience. We will not be back

I have 1 star only because it made me leave at least 1. Came at 7:30, only 2 other tables in the whole restaurant (5 people total). Had no silverware, no refills, asked for more bread and took over 30 minutes for it. Waitress said everyone was stealing it as soon as it got done lol ? (lie 1 of many) . Finally went on the hunt for the waitress so we can leave. There she was... Some laying in booths some sitting. Just chatting up while we was getting the worse service I had EVER experienced!!!! I told them when they get the time we would like to go ahead and leave. First we heard the friers had been giving them trouble what took so long. Then management changed that story to them changing the oil in them before they cooled out food( a bit contradicting huh) anyway they finally got up from their hang out session and got to work. Our food then come out.. it was fine but not all that. Won't EVER come back to this location again!!! This has ruined it for me on my most favorite place to eat while I'm out of town. Cracker barrel now on for me !

Never had eaten at Fatz......and haven't yet. The restaurant was less than half full and we waited for well over an hour. Never got our food. So, I can't say anything about the food, but the service is nonexistent.

To begin only 10-12 people in restaurant. Took 20 min to get drinks. 45 min still no food. Ask if prob they said having to cook grill chicken but when it finally came out it was luke warm. The fries were hard. The grease was old making fries nasty. Never got a refill after 1 hour 20 min. Don't waste your time and money. I won't go back. Worst meal I have had in years

If I could rate this a zero star I would. Placed a to go order at 8:50 pm and was told a 25 minute wait.. well after ONE HOUR AND FOURTY FIVE MINUTES waiting in the restaurant they came out with the food, they completely mutilated the food.. 50% of the toppings on the salads we ordered were not there. The food was cold as if it’s been sitting for hours. Also we were told we would receive a discount or have no charge on the beverages we ordered and they failed to do so. 110%% do not recommend this place and will never eat there again!!!!!! Absolutely terrible. DO NOT GO HERE

My review would be one star if it were not for our amazing server, whom I’m giving a big gold star to for being attentive, kind, and helpful.I generally don’t review anywhere bad or good, but especially bad, because it takes time and also I feel bad to speak poorly of any place, because I believe we’re all mostly trying our best. So, I feel like it means a pretty big deal if I’m taking my time to review something. With that being said…Fatz Asheville did honestly smell like a public restroom inside, with torn carpet, broken booth seats, dirty walls, and missing signs with residue left behind. Just, the place needs to move on to bigger and better things or needs a total renovation.I ordered the chopped steak, which was honestly a dry, over cooked, chunky burger patty sitting in a puddle of oil or butter? The garlic mashed potatoes were not garlicky, nor mashed, or seasoned at all. Genuinely, just a heaping serving of boiled potatoes. Not even any butter. Phew. I asked our server if I could switch them out for okra, which he very graciously did. The okra was actually ok in taste, but deep fried very chaotically. Haha. I don’t know what’s going on in the kitchen, but probably the cooks need raises so they can feel valued and do their jobs well, I don’t know.The bathroom didn’t have any toilet paper in my stall or paper towels in the dispenser. Haha I don’t know, y’all are wild. For a place that is a corporation, y’all need to give some TLC to this poor restaurant. Everyone needs raises and the building needs renovated. Please, for the love of what Fatz is *supposed* to be.

AVOID AT ALL COSTSWorst dining experience our family has ever had (not an exaggeration). To begin, the service was terrible, our waiter was not engaged, made mistakes with our orders, and did not come to our table unless flagged. We were there for like two hours and it was not busy in the slightest. The food: a few items were not delivered. All of the food was mediocre at best (some items were not edible) despite being around $17 per order. The chicken noodle soup had like 3 noodles total, was extremely salty, and completely non-reminiscent of actual chicken noodle soup (picture provided). The chicken and dumplings was a tiny portion (about 7 dumplings and 4 pieces of chicken), very slightly more than what could fit in a petri dish. Overall, there is not really any reason to go here unless you like losing money and wasting time.

When we arrived in the parking lot after church service around 12:30 - it should’ve been a red flag because there wasn’t many cars in the parking area… then when I went to the restroom that should’ve been red flag #2 because it wasn’t very clean at all and walking back to my seat I saw the sanitation rating and I should’ve left then .The tables were so sticky you just felt like not touching it or anything at all !We ordered fried pickles and they were actually pretty good but then the rest of my food tasted just like the pickles so it wasn’t pleasant at all- like everything was cooked together. My husband ordered ribs and they weren’t even warm - they were cold like they just came from the fridge. My biggest complaint though was I have NEVER been to a restaurant and not offered a refill EVER !! I didn’t even finish my food because it was hard to eat it and not have anything to wash it down with.I never give reviews but this place was terrible!

We have always looked forward to eating at Fatz.....but today was not a good experience. The waitress was sweet and did a great job, but the food was bad. Chicken fried steak was tough with not much taste, cold, lumpy mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli looked good but wasn't! Sirloin steak was no better. I am sorry to leave this review, but $54.00 for what we were served is horrible! Please improve the food.

The food was good. Great place to go if you want to be left alone. Once the server came with our drinks, we never saw him again until we got the bill. A different person took our food order and delivered our food. The server came back around and had the nerve to ask if we wanted to add the tip to the check before handing it to us. When we asked how much the bill was, he would not tell us and ask if we could go ahead and put a 25% tip on the bill before he gave it to us. We asked if the person who took our order, brought our food, and refilled our drinks would be getting part of the tip. His answer is no cause. i am your server, and this is my table. We politely said no to the 25% and said we would be leaving cash. He handed us the bill, and we never saw him again. Another person came to take the money( the same person that brought the food and took our order), and we asked if we could give this person the tip. They said they didn't want to be yelled at by the "sever for that section." So i called the manager over and told him the story, and he said that we could tip the poor person doing all the work and not the server, so we did. As we were leaving, the server was at the front ,flirting with a customer and just looking us up and down. We gave the poor person that wasn't even part of the wait staff, who took our order, brought our food, and refilled our drinks the 25% cause they earned it! The waiter got $2! $1 dollar for seating us and $1 for holding the door! If you go to fat's pay attention and make sure the people that do the work get the tip! Not the ones who want to flirt with customers and ignore everyone else!

Been going here for years.... will not be going back. The rolls weren't proofed enough so they were half the size of normal rolls. Hard and crunchy also. The loaded cheese fries.... fries with canned cheese sauce on them. Nothing like what the menu describes. Do not recommend this Fatz location to anyone.

I’m bummed. I doordashed the 14 gauge double barrel bourbon burger and all I got was sadness. My order sat waiting to be confirmed for over 10 mins so I called to ask if it was my app messing up or if they were u able to complete the order or what was going on. I was answered by a young lady who went on to tell me about how she’s the only one taking orders and she finally got her break and it’s been a crazy day so she’s been listening to it ring instead of accepting it. After all was said and done I receive my food and that’s when I realized I asked for no pickles yet I’ve never seen so many pickles on a burger before ? more like the 14 gauge double barrel bourbon pickle sandwich it almost felt spiteful. EDITED TO ADD.... Received a response to this review asking that I email the store so they could get this sorted out. Sent the email, and what do you know.... NO RESPONSE. Just another example of poor customer service.....Went in last night(2/26/23) for what we had hoped to be a nice relaxing GREAT meal. Sorely disappointed! My son and I ordered chicken tenders and shrimp, the chicken was undercooked, and pink in every piece, my shrimp was undercooked and mushy. My husband had the butter bourbon ribeye and was served an overcooked sirloin. Our service was incredibly slow, even though the place was way less than half full.My husband ordered a margarita, and it tastes like applesauce with no tequilaHaving worked in food service for over 20 years, I understand the business, and customer care. When we told our waitress about the chicken, she huffed, and asked if we just wanted the whole thing replaced, which we declined. Not to mention, we had to ask for dipping sauce 3 different times before she brought 2 small cups (we'd all 3 asked for ranch) tossed it on the table and walked away.We do not regularly eat out, and for almost $80 this was such a disappointment! We discussed our options before stopping here, and now I wish we'd went on a few more.miles to another restaurant.
