I have bumped into some beautiful humans here and I love that these connections are still a part of my life. The food is wonderful and the service is so personable. Also, the artwork/ artist are such a vibe.

I know Asheville is known for their breweries, but let's give them a round of applause for their cafes and coffee shops! Honestly, I have yet to visit a coffee shop here that disappoints. Grind AVL is no different. Located in the heart of the River Arts district, Grind is a black-owned, mission-centered coffee shop that serves everything from your classic drip to uniquely flavored lattes. The indoor space is a perfect setting for those that need a place to relax or get work done. I noticed that they sold both sweet treats and a nice variety of drink options. I decided to get a strawberry vanilla latte and my husband got the banana bread latte. Both were out of this world! Just the right amount of syrup so that you can actually taste the flavor profiles without being too sweet. Looking forward to my next visit!

Ultra laid back in a way that only the RAD can be, this is a relaxing, comfortable little shop for a well-made cup and a tasty bakery treat. I tried the Banana Bread Latte and was surprised by how well it evoked the grandma’s-kitchen classic. Superb, friendly and engaging service topped off the experience.

Every time we visit Asheville we stop in at Grind AVL. They’re so consistent in their coffees, flavors and service! Grind is our absolute FAVORITE spot! If we lived closer we’d be there all the time! The owners are so kind and everyone who works there is always so genuine and wonderful. Truly a fun and safe place regardless of color, gender, or preference. Thank you for being our favorite stop in Asheville!
Ambience was not as fun as I would ave expected in an arts district. Was disappointed that my coffee was in a paper cup but was tasty. Barista seemed to be having a rough day--very grumpy. Was hoping for an afternoon snack at 3 but no food left.

The only true dog-friendly coffee shop inside and out in AVL! A must try if you’re have your pup alongside. They use local Dynamite beans and have a friendly, laid back atmosphere.

My wife and I had high hopes for this place, and I really wanted to leave a positive review. But alas, I will not mislead anyone with my comments. When we walked in? There was a positive vibe, and the lady behind the counter was friendly and helpful. I ordered a medium drip coffee & blueberry scone, and my wife ordered a praline latte & cranberry scone. I realized immediately that my wife was dissatisfied with her drink by the look on her face (she will never complain to me in public) after her first sip. Well, my coffee was very weak...watery and lukewarm, and the scones were tasteless. The food and coffee were a bust. Despite that, my wife and I just tried to chill and converse. That was ruined when a tall lanky man came in and ruined the whole vibe. He was louder than he needed to be, and was excessively bossy. If he was a part owner? He was nowhere pictured on the website with the two we saw...and totally completed the ruination of our experience at this spot....I really wanted to enjoy this spot.
