Waiter was very nice, food is good, pretty expensive. One star because nobody on staff was wearing a mask except for the sushi chef! Good for him, shame on the others, but mostly shame on management/ownership for not requiring masks especially during the worsening omicron outbreak. Took my food to go and am eating it somewhere else in the fresh air. Embarrassed I even spent money here.Oh, and I almost forgot- no soap or hand towels in the men's room. Are you kidding me??

Worst dinning experience ever. Food took extremely long to be served. Over an HOUR! Major staff shortage. Food is terrible!!!I strongly recommend nobody eats at this restaurant. You Will be extremely disappointed with this restaurant.I gave it one ⭐ it does even deserve it. I would give it?????

No, just, no. The staff was great, especially those wearing a mask! The food was awful. I specifically got a dish with black caviar for that reason and it was topped with orange roe. I asked the waiter if maybe they were out of black caviar but he replied “I don’t know I’m new.” This was the second person to tell us they were in fact new. The waiter also mentioned that he called the owner to come in but they never showed up. Restaurants are having a tough time especially the lack of staff and support(as a business owner myself) it makes me sick to think the owner of Hana is letting the team sink while taking no responsibility. It also smelt like burning hair and I wasn’t the only one who noticed that lovely touch.

Perfect setting in downtown Asheville, but a big let down on food. Our waitress was great. However, no matter how great she was, she could not overcome the 10 bad things that happened from the moment we walked in. The tea was terrible, three people who love tea all said they couldn’t drink it. Then, the soup… the onion soup, 6 out of 7 said yuck, no, can’t eat it, too strong. My mother dilutes with water and said it became tolerable since it was so cold outside. We continued to sit there to wait on the Hibachi main. The Vegetable Hibachi came with Tofu, which no one wanted. It was a resounding… oh, we hope it’s gonna be good, and all 7 plates came out “cold”. The rice was tolerable. The shrimp was cold. The filet tasted okay. The chicken hibachi was the best, but also was cold. Unfortunately the whole experience was terrible. Except the waitress was a doll.

The restaurant had about 3 tables of patrons when we arrived. It took the waitress 10 minutes to just bring water. It took quite a long time for her to take our order because she was in the phone. Others arrived in the mean time and were served quickly and received their food orders long before we did. Every time I thanked the waitress, she responded "No problem" and it was clear she'd never been trained. The bathroom was atrocious. The industrial toilet paper holder was missing the entire front and the TP rolled off into the floor when you pulled the end. There was no TP in the other stall. There were no paper towels in the holder and no way to dry hands. The food was good, but not enough to overcome the poor service and facility.

I used to eat here regularly until moving away for college & I still dine here occasionally on breaks but this will be the last time that I go to this restaurant. The service was terrible, the food was somewhat tolerable, and the bathrooms were unacceptable. The women’s bathroom was flooded and the one stall that had toilet paper in it was not flushing. I told this to our server and she shrugged me off and said that she didn’t know how to fix any of that because she was new here. I completely understand being new and not knowing what to do but she should have got another server or a manager. The food took a long time and they forgot about one of our salads and two of our soups. The soup was a terrible, no one at our table finished theirs. I also had a bug in my water after the server refilled it. The restaurant was not busy at all, just had terrible service. We also had to split our check equally instead of by items which is fine but once FINALLY receiving the check it was incorrect and had extra charges for food we didn’t order. Over the past couple of years the prices have increased and the quality of service has severely decreased. To anyone looking to eat here: don’t. I would recommend Green Tea or Wasabi!

We came in and weren’t told that there was only one waiter and were directed to pick a table not given one.We waited a while for food but understand everyone has a shortage of workers currently so we were not upset. The waitress told us it was her first day, she did great considering it was obviously an overwhelming situation. The food was very good but it needed to be cut smaller. The restaurant atmosphere was not what we expected. The manager was wearing a lighter color spaghetti strap top with what I assume was a red bra under it because you could see her red straps. Everyone else working there was wearing jeans and looked extremely casual. It seemed as if about half of the employees that were there by the end of the shift had been hired that day. The manager was VERY loud and even was cursing (which isn’t what I expect when I go to a family friendly restaurant.)The music in the restaurant also was very untraditional considering it’s a Japanese hibachi restaurant. All in all the food was great but I would not go back or recommend because it was such a disaster to watch.

Made a Takeout order and was told 20 minutes. 45 minutes later they are still saying "it's almost ready". Would not recommend if you want it on time

Fantastic sushi - very fresh and tasty. Also, I really enjoyed the service, especially helpful was the waiter who knew the perfect sake to go with what I ordered.

The place was dirty and cold. We asked the manager to turn up the heat but never felt warmer. We had keep our coats on at all time. Menu was so dirty that I didn't want to hold it by hand. I feel bad for the waiter since he was nice and swift, hopefully he finds another place to work. We had to return 2 appetizers which gone bad, sour and bitter, the age tofu and vegetable Tampura. Guess what, we were only allowed to return one. Guess what again? Both showed up on our check. I confronted the manager and he apologized but refused to take off second gone bad item from our check. Will never return. Now it's 3 hours after the meal, both my kids are vomiting. They did say that the steak Yaki noodle tasted sour right after eating it. I'll keep monitoring them and if this turns into serious matter, this won't end on a bad review only. This is a very immoral restaurant.

Delicious food. Great service. Amazing food wow. Came here late on a Sunday evening. Literally 20 min before they closed. Did I say great service. Restaurant is centrally located and very clean. My food was made promptly and wow was it delicious. I ordered the fried pork goyza recommended by the manager Jesse. Dammn chefs kiss. Best goyza I've had in months honestly I also ordered the miso soup. Can't go wrong with this classic. ultimate comfort good. He did recommend the onion soup. Will definitely check it out next time. Also got the rainbow rolls. Fresh seafood. Can't go wrong with this place. Thank you for the great service yall

take a big group out for a meal the night before Thanksgiving and you'll swamp most restaurants and expect what you get. But not Hanna! The staff could not be nicer and handled our group of 12 like family. If the manager came by once, she checked on us a dozen times! Oh, by the way, the food was great. Go and enjoy!

Slow service, as well as forgot to bring out multiple things. Sad since I used to enjoy this restaurant. The same thing happened the last time I went too. Though I thought that could have been just a bad night for the staff after tonight I've realized that it wasn't just a fluke. I can't forget to mention the bucket of dirty water on the floor in the restroom. Spend the extra 20 mins to wait for something else if you're eating downtown.

This was the worst service and hibachi food we've ever had. We saw the server one time between him taking our order (he greeted us, brought us water, and took our order in one trip) and asking for the check when he brought our food. The soup was extremely salty and the mushrooms in the soup were completely raw. When dropping off our food, we asked about the salads, and he informed us they were out of salad and walked away, not offering anything as a substitution. Half of the vegetables were raw from the hibachi for two, the noodles were soggy and overcooked, as were the meats, and we never got a water refill despite being out when the food was dropped off. After we finished eating, we sat about 15 minutes as he walked by several times working on closing tasks and speaking with his manager about their side work. He asked if we were ready for the check, and we asked about taking off the costs of the salad. He spoke with his manager, who rolled her eyes and talked about us to other employees where we could hear. The food was not worth the cost and the staff was not even moderately competent. As a side note, I was a server for several years (recently) and always give people the benefit of the doubt, but this was just bad service all around.

This is definitely the best restaurant I have ever been to! ! ! Plenty of choices, very fresh food, and affordable prices. Must visit! ! ???
