If you look at the place from outside it's not much. The food is amazing. I had three Mountain Scramble one day and the Pastrami on our second stop. My wife had the Avocado Toast, then the Cuban Sandwich. Loved them both. I am not a coffee person, but I tried theirs and thought it was great. Finally, not sure what the people who said the employees were rude experienced, but everyone was very friendly.

Sanitation is a real concern, dogs in the cafe should not be a thing.

Bee Nice gardens and landscaping

If you don't like kids and dogs stay away from this place (and me!) Back yard area perfect for eating drinking and watching the kids (furry or otherwise) play. Home grown has been a favorite of mine for many years and the food never disappoints always so fresh.

Food is great. Had breakfast sandwiches. Get th local saucage - very good. Coffee is spectacular! Hash brown could use some onion and seasoning.

This place has it all! Stopped here on vacation in Asheville for a quick breakfast and coffee and both were delicious! As a bonus, you can have a seat outside by the stream on a warm day. My boyfriend and I loved it here so much that we came back for lunch and another coffee before hitting the road and it was just as delicious! Stop on in, you will not be disappointed!

I wish I had taken pictures because this place was so freaking cool! Home Ground is a very cute coffee shop attached to a bar with so many places to sit- inside and out!I was there around Noon so only the coffee shop was open but there were signs that live music was happening, in the evening, and I think that’s such a great venture for that! The food was great! I got a basic chicken salad and a mixed berry smoothie and they did not disappoint. The staff was super friendly and easy to talk to!Where you order is a little cramped but it opens up so much when you get to the seating areas!Right across the street from Carrier Park, it’s a great location! I parked my car at the restaurant, ate lunch, and then was able to walk across the street, walk the track, and lay in the grass!Amazing experience and I will be back!

They were extremely rude ! Our food took forever. They gave me a melted smoothie and an attitude when I asked them to remake it. They made we wait 30 minutes to fix their mistake and was rude. I dont recommend

The coffees were very good, and I think I might have given the food a 5 star review if I'd ordered something different, but I got caught off guard at the counter when I realized I wasn't sharing my breakfast with my partner who ordered first. I quickly picked the Dixie chix (or a name like that) breakfast sandwich but I guess I didn't notice it had egg whites and not whole eggs, and would only be about a third of a chicken breast served on the English muffin. The pimiento cheese, however, was delicious. Not sure if it was made in house, but I'd guess so. I will definitely be coming back and will update my review when I make a better choice for myself for breakfast. The one bite I had of my partner's bagel sandwich was yummy! Service was friendly and quick. It was a rainy, chilly day and we were happy to have a seat near the wall heater.

Best: Dogs are allowed inside on leash!! ?I enjoyed the avocado toast and the drip coffee I got with milk. My husband got a dirty chai but it was overpriced at $7.75 and he said it tasted like antibacterial soap ? We’ll come back but we’ll likely stick with drip coffee. Friendly service staff at the counter, although food & drink are not brought to customers – you need to stand around until your drinks are ready, or if you order food you’ll get a buzzer. Other thoughts: Tables are clean, the outdoor area looks cool, local art for sale hanging on the walls.

I really enjoy the food and the atmosphere. However, the quality definitely depends on who’s in the kitchen. Every single time the woman with short gray hair is cooking, our order is wrong. They would have five stars if they could just tighten up and have some consistency.

Great little breakfast place, right by the river, with plenty of outside seating. A little rustic, but tasty.

I give it three stars because my wife got their specialty bagel the other day and it was really good. As for my experience their today I would give it two stars. I ordered the fried chicken breakfast sandwich which comes on an English Muffin. I didn't see this when ordering (totally my fault), but wish I would have. I feel like an English Muffin at a restaurant is the equivalent of saying "I give up and don't want to do this anymore." The "sandwich" came out quickly but it's presentation seemed to be a message from the kitchen staff saying, "Hurry up. We have other things to do." The chicken was fried to perfection and by itself would have been enough. However, someone in the back thought, "you know what this sandwich needs? Cinnamon. Lots and lots of cinnamon." I still feel like I just had a stick of Big Red. So, in summary, if you go stay away from the cinnamon chicken "sandwich", and get the speciality bagel. Can't go wrong with that choice.

The breakfast is delicious! I had the fried chicken with pimento cheese. The prices are more than fair and the coffee has a nice balanced flavor. Cool atmosphere, too. They have penty of outdoor seating on a nice day and they are dog-friendly. They are all about saving the earth and recycling, which it was nice to see my values align with a great business like this. Thanks for the great experience ?Vegetarian options: They have a few vegetarian options such as an egg bowl, and they will accommodate any realistic requests when applicableKid-friendliness: There were lots of families eating at this establishment. Very accessible and family friendly. I did not see a children's menu however.Parking: There are plenty of spots to park on site with no fee. If the front lot is full there are more spots outbackWheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp inside the establishment. The entrance has no steps. The side exit has a ramp, but the other 2 exits have steps.

This place was very good! We got the cuban and the chicken salad sandwiches. My wife is from Cuba and liked their twist on the sandwich. Only 1 complaint I think they're a little heavy on the horseradish for our taste but overall very good. Smoothies were good. The service is fantastic.
