One of the best restaurants in Asheville! The food and drinks are delicious and it's in a perfect location to drop in after walking around downtown.

This was my first taste of Hawaii and I will say they definitely made me want to book a first class ticket. The service and flavors were phenomenal. The restaurant is very cute with dining, bar and outdoor seating options. I will definitely revisit when I'm back in town.

Runnnn to this place. I honestly don't understand how there isn't a line out the door at all times. The drinks (and mocktails) were delicious. They have a large menu with a ton of options and everything we tasted was incredible. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food came out quickly. It was such a perfect start to our trip and I am sad we didn't squeeze in time to go back again before we left. Not to mention, it feels like a tropical paradise inside with the island decor! We ordered the following: Passion Fruit Pele Mocktail ($9) Mai Tai ($14) Garlic Shrimp ($14) Mac n' Cheese ($8) The Reuben Sandwich ($18) Pork Katsu Sandwich ($17) Haupia Cake ($9) My husband really enjoyed his mai tai and my mocktail was perfect. I wanted several more, but got so full off of all the food. The garlic shrimp were huge and so juicy. It was a great start to our meal. The mac and cheese we got for our daughter was very creamy and flavorful. I stole several bites and it was so good. The pastrami reuben was really good. I like to sub slaw and the sweetness is such a great contrast. I think they use hickory wood, the pastrami was much more smoky than I'm used to but it was really tasty. I got a side salad instead of fries and I enjoyed the blue cheese dressing. They put lots of dill which I thought I would hate, but it worked well. The pork katsu sandwich was massive. You can't appreciate how big it was from the picture. If you do anything at all - get the haupia cake. It is toasted coconut heavennn. We were stuffed after our meal and brought it back to the hotel and it was truly phenomenal. Huli Sue's is such a gem. We will absolutely come here every time we are in town.

Fantastic food and cute place. I had the Mai tai to start. One of the best I've ever had. For dinner I got the pulled pork tacos. Lots of food. Great Smokey flavor with tropical taste as well. The sauces on the table were super yummy too. My husband got the Cuban. He loved his as well. Our server was nice and helpful. Highly recommend

Why haven’t I been here before?! Omg! So good! I got the poke bowl (a delicious combination of tuna, cucumbers and tomatoes in sauce) and hubby got the fried chicken sandwich….I think it is our new favorite chicken sandwich in Asheville. The honey sauce the used! Yum! Coming back. Great outdoor dining and all the food is great!

Such a fun menu, great quality and very delicious. The only thing missing was a Hula Pie!

When we first walked in we were hit with a warm stuffy breeze and the strong smell of bonito flakes. Hawaiian vibes all around. Everyone was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious. I highly recommend trying the Mai tai (apparently the bartender is from Maui so he knows his shit), garlic Chile shrimp (not spicy just Chile from the sweet Chile sauce), and the huli's chicken was undeniably good as well. Loved the rice and macaroni salad. The only thing that was whatever for us was the pickled cabbage but it's roughage so that's a win right? Anyway, you need to try this place! It's so good!

I went to Hulu Sue's for the first time today, and I can tell you it definitely won't be my last time! I had the French onion soup and the pastrami burger and both were out of this world! When the waitress put the pastrami burger in front of me, I wondered how I was going to get it in my mouth because it was stacked so high with meat?! So many enticing choices on the menu! The desert case had my mouth watering! The whole staff seemed extremely friendly as was my waitress who was also menu knowledgeable and extremely pleasant. I was lucky enough to sit next to an extra friendly couple who shared with me what they were eating and enjoying and had some suggestions for what to try on my next visit. The piece of coconut cake they got go was the size of my head (big!) and looked delicious! Overall I would give the entire experience a 10/10!!!

Some friends had recommended we try Huli Sue’s while in Asheville. This place is a must-visit! Great vibes, delicious food and unique flavours. The mochiko chicken sandwich, the nachos, and the BBQ (especially the ribs) were all awesome. We also grabbed a brownie to go. Will definitely be back next time we are in Asheville.
