A prominent building in the center of the city, this offers a basic necessity: pizza. Importantly, they sell by the slice. Ordering a cheese slice and a slightly leafier Sicilian slice got me a nicely browned crust and contrasting flavor notes from different cheese types. Not the most impressive pizza I've had in Asheville, and their salad selection didn't really do it for me, but of enough quality to be worth the stop in. They have an outdoor seating deck and a brick-lined interior, so it's a nice place to enjoy a slice.

Food was good, menu and restaurant set up were interesting. The crew was great however my mom explicitly said Chicken Alfredo and we received just Alfredo. When the cashier brought us our food, we said “oh this is supposed to be chicken Alfredo.” And his rebuttal was “When I repeated the order back to you I said Alfredo, and you didn’t correct me. You confirmed it.” So that was a little off putting but the pizza was great, I’m from Chicago so it’s hard to find pizza that lives up to it.

Best pizza we have ever had since we moved to Rock Hill, SC from NYC. We frequent Asheville. We will definitely be back. We planned to have a couple of slices and take some home unfortunately the pizza didn’t make it out of the establishment. Thanks for the delicious pizza and excellent service.

The best Pizza / calzone South of New York. Sauce is authentic, fresh ingredients, dough and toppings will transport you back in time where you could get a slice on the streets of New York. If you live pie ( pizza) and are in Asheville, this is a MUST HAVE. Don't screw yourself by only ordering a slice. Get a "14 pie and treat yourself to a Calzone as well.

Their Reuben deserves its award. Everything else we had was good - pizza, calzone, cheesesteak...Parking: Find pay parking in downtown Asheville. Then walk a few blocks to Manicomio.
I ordered delivery from this location, and I spoke with Chris, the manager, a few times regarding my order. I was ordering for my company on a business trip, and Chris was EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgeable! He was able to guide me through making a proper order that was the perfect size for my situation— he is absolutely amazing! The food was great, too!

Pizza was terrible. There was nothing to it. Hardly anything on it. Sausage, olives and mushrooms. Couldn’t even see the sausage. Pizza was as light as a feather. I picked the pizza up as a take out. It was so light that I had to stop before I got out the door and open it up. I was not happy. I should’ve taken it back to them while I was there. But, I didn’t. I had someone waiting on me. Never ever again. I am willing to spend money on pizza. But, not for this place.

We really enjoyed our meal of pepperoni pizza, eggplant rollatini & penne Alfredo. The tomato sauce was fresh and delicious. The pizza crust was thin and nicely baked with a buttery crust. The Alfredo sauce was good too. Served with garlic knots. It is a casual restaurant. The friendly server brought water for our pup without our asking. There's a very large patio that looks as though it would be nicely lit at night.
Definitely recommend the white pizza!
