Excellent farm to plate fare in a casual upmarket setting. The whole trout is not what I’d ordinarily order, but I took a gamble on it being made well. It paid off!! Good cocktails also.

Very over rated for the food. Much better options in Asheville. Had high expectations going in but they underperformed at pretty much every dish. Service was good though.

We had a delightful time! Our server Smyly was attentive, friendly, informative, and made our dining experience extra special by acknowledging our anniversary. Pimento cheese hush puppies with comeback sauce were a perfect starter. Silky goat cheese burrata w/strawberries led to fresh tarragon and trout row with oozy egg yolk over asparagus. The black garlic half chicken has an amazing flavorful skin with juicy chicken but the star for us was the pillowy ricotta w/duck ragout. Thanks Smyly and Rhubarb for a lovely evening!

The food, atmosphere, and service are all top notch! The trout dish was out of this world and there's enough there for two people. They don't charge extra if y'all share dishes. Excellent wine selection at reasonable prices considering it is downtown AVL. Highly recommend it.

Overall the food was good. We started with the Pimiento Cheese Hushpuppies which were good and lighter than normal hush puppies. The best dish we had was a sausage and Sea Island Red Peas dish that really did not need the sausage. Would have loved just a big bowl of the Red Peas. We also had the Hot Water Cornbread which was interesting. For mains we had the Celery Root Schnitzel and the Wood Roasted Chicken, while both dishes were good, in both cases the accompaniments of the dish were better than the Schnitzel or Chicken.

High expectations going in and Rhubarb did not disappoint! Fabulous dining. Goat burrata was fantastic and whole trout was off the hook with celeriac, sunchokes, braised radicchio. Wow. Dessert was an amazing Panna cotta.

My friend and I had an outstanding dining experience at Rhubarb last night. Our server, Kelsey, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We shared the cheese plate, gnocchi, carrots and brisket dish, all of which were absolutely delicious. Their wine selection was great too. The atmosphere is very welcoming. We want to go back to try more of the menu- you can’t go wrong here! Highly recommend.

Pretty cool spot downtown right by the art museum. It's got an industrial vibe and a nice bar. I could have drank their Collins cocktail all day, and the burrata was great appetizer. We tried it all! The trout, the rice, the brisket, and even the gnocchi- all of them were great. Our server was attentive and helpful. Only suggestion is new chairs, sorry to be picky.

Great food, great location. Best part was the charcuterie board - they make this crunchy lavash and serve it with cheeses and mustard and pickles etc - memorable!

Our family had a celebration at Rhubarb recently and it was beyond five-star. We ordered a dozen different menu items including, small plates, mains, and desserts. Each one was spectacular in it's own right. However, the single thing that made our evening so great was Trey, our server. Trey is the kind of person you wish would be your server in every restaurant you dine at. That said, we'll be back soon. And thank you Trey. You rock.
