After Instagram stocking Kyle for a few months, and being inspired by her weekly farmers market runs, I decided to give her a call. I have dealt with IBS, eczema, anxiety, and gut issues my whole life. After an initial call, I knew Kyle was the perfect person to help me dive deeper into my chronic health concerns. Not only is working with Kyle one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself, but I now have knowledge that I can carry with me for the rest of my life. Kyle is kind, professional, intuitive and so easy to talk to and open up with. She uses data, science and testing which was important to me upon the initial start. She truly cares about her clients and the experience was nothing short of life changing. I recommend Kyle to anyone who is on the path to figure out wellness, gut health and nutrition. Thank you Kyle, I appreciate you and all you do!!!

Kyle was SO helpful on my journey to figuring out my gut health! After years of struggling, getting told to cut out more and more foods without any reintegration, she helped me narrow down and realize what actually worked for my system. Kyle is great at getting to the core of the issue and helping her clients tackle it while not living a super limited and restrictive lifestyle. I now have a diet that isn't continuously getting smaller but larger and more diverse.

Having this place at the brewery makes the beer taste better. Or maybe the beer makes the food better? Either way, it's good synergy. We had the pork and pimento cheese sandwich, fried brussels, chicken wings, and red beans and rice. The food was all okay. We really wanted to try the gumbo but they only make it when the weather is cold apparently? At least that's what we were told. It's right there while you're having a beer, so try it out. 3.65 stars if I could.

Some of the best brussel sprouts I've ever had!! Super delicious and so much flavor! Who would have thought Pepper jelly and lemon salt go so good together?!

Kyle is an amazing functional medicine Registered Dietician and Nutritionist. She truly takes the time to get to the root of your gut health issues and creates a specialized plan that works for you. My life was filled with bloating, diarrhea, weight gain, skin rashes, and heartburn (to name a few) before I finally contacted Kyle. I couldn't understand why I always felt awful after I ate. My face was constantly broken out even after numerous visits to a dermatologist. I always felt very full after I ate even though I didn't eat alot. I reached out to Kyle in hopes that she would be able to help me with these issues and she went above and beyond to make my life better. Kyle is very understanding, really takes the time to listen to you and explains everything in a way that everyone can understand. After the initial intake and testing, Kyle was able to create a plan that worked for me with my food sensitivities. I can still eat the things I love, I just had to make adjustments to the ways I ate things. Kyle has walked me through it all, even when I wanted to give up, she remained empathetic and positive and helped me stay on track without pressuring me. She truly cares about her clients and goes above and beyond to help them make this big change in their life. After working with Kyle, I can truly say that I really feel great and I wish more people would learn about their gut health and make the needed changes so they can feel great too! Do not hesitate to contact Kyle. She will change your life for the better!

Had their Brussels sprouts when they visited New Belgium brewery. Best ever!! Charred dark with killler sauce that I had on the side because my girlfriend does not like spicy. I'm from Chicago and if they had a gig in the next couple days, I would seek them out. I'll try the famous chicken sandwich if I can

I am not joking when I say that the pulled pork & pimento sandwich caused me to ascend to a heavenly place. The pickled red onions have a hint on cinnamon, which combined with the sauce on the bun, crispy pimento cheese, and tender pork, literally blew my mind. The grilled Mac and cheese is rich but not too heavy, and the slightly charred bits add a delectable flavor to the cheese. I will be returning for sure, especially given their outpost at New Belgium brewing on Sundays is a perfect combination.

Met Dano (great guy!) and had some excellent Creole fare outside Highlands Brewery. Couldn't recommend it more highly!

We had dinner from Root Down while at New Belguim brewery. First, I was annoyed that the menu they had posted online was not the same one they were serving. I'm vegetarian, so it's annoying to be stuck with a bean burger. I was also SO SAD to not get any banana pudding... hmmph. The burger was fine. Friends got the chicken sandwich, with a watermelon salad (it was supposed to be some flavored something but was just watermelon). Not sure how these dishes are creole but whatever. Drinks and sides are separate. The food wasn't bad, but I think I could have more food for $10 thank just a burger with no chips or fries, and drink sold separate. I will say the service was great. The lady was nice, prompt, and gave us everything we needed (napkins, etc). If you're determined to eat at New Belguim, go for it, I guess. Otherwise, maybe get dinner elsewhere.

This place. Oh my word. The pimento cheese pork sandwich exceeded our expectations. Every bite was like magic. Not being dramatic. Thank you for sharing your work with the community. Such a gift. Well done.

My family and I had this at Highland Brewery. It was so good. The kids not only tore up the watermelon salad, but my 6 year old son ate the fried chicken sandwich with the coleslaw. He never eats coleslaw. My 3 year old twins ate up the chicken. My husband said the chicken was so crispy and cooked amazingly well. They always have a vegetarian option which is amazing! My black bean burger was cooked perfectly and they were nice enough to put it on fresh greens instead of on a bun. I would definitely go out my way to bring the family back to wherever this food truck is parked.

How is it possible that I haven't written a review about just how much I love the Root Down Food Truck yet? Sometimes the cobbler's children get no shoes. Sometimes there's something that you hold so near and dear to your heart that you assume for the greater part of 5 years that you had already given them a raving 5 star review. Sometimes you're just a moron. We are truly blessed here in Asheville with a wide variety of food trucks and restaurants. You can essentially take a tour of world cuisine with the offerings you can find in our little city in the mountains, and if you're in the mood for a trip the big easy, there is one food truck you MUST find... Root Down. There are some places that have a large menu, with a couple of stand out items and it takes you a while to find those one or two all stars. With Root Down, you'll find a large and constantly rotating menu where you're offered consistently awesome dishes, and everyone of them is an all star. Some of my favorites have been the Fried Chicken Sandwich, The Fried Oyster Sandwich, and their Yaka Mein, (a Louisiana Chinese Restaurant classic. GREAT for a hangover). Are all of these items constantly available? No! I don't know what to expect as I approach their menu board, but I do know that whatever is being cooked up is going to be awesome, and that the biggest challenge I'm going to face is picking which item to roll with. Oh damn. I nearly forgot their red beans and rice. Another classic, and SO DAMN GOOD. Root Down has been in the food truck game in Asheville for quite some time and their staying power is a testament to their awesomeness and consistency. Their truck ready to rock your face off with some of the most delightful and tasty cajun and creole food, don't stand in your own way towards making that happen! FIND THAT TRUCK! PS, They're typically at New Belgium on sundays, and it helps to check their website. rootdownfoodtruck.com
