While the cafe is really pretty and perfectly located inside the Biltmore Estate, I found the food to be average and the service lackluster. The portion sizes were very small and pricey and the place was very loud. It's a good experience and great option for food when visiting the Biltmore, but nothing memorable.

The food is okay for the price that is being charged. There could be more thought and time put into the recipes. The menu is quite confusing. The prices for the okay food are atrocious, especially since you already have to pay to even get onto the Biltmore property. It was so loud that our server couldn't hear us, nor could we hear him. There should be sound dampening installed. Carefully construct a menu and then focus on delivering a quality product. The service was friendly. Also, you should offer more celiac options for food.Dietary restrictions: There are not enough dietary restrictions, especially for celiac disease.Kid-friendliness: It is kid friendly.

Wonderful experience!!!! We got in way quicker than we were told, which is always nice. ?Every worker was so friendly and the atmosphere was so cool. Our waitress was attentive and kind (and the restaurant was FULL)And, lastly, our meal was delicious!!!! We shared the Appalachian platter and potato and kale soup. Wow!!! is all I can say! More than enough food and everything tasty!!!

The food was delicious! A great selection! We got the stable cafe sampler so we were able to try a bunch of their popular menu items. One of my favorites was the grits! The benches are the old stable stalls which is neat! Our waiter was very nice as well!

We had high hopes. Drove in from Nashville to do the Biltmore tour along with the Chihuly exhibit. We got seated at the Stable Cafe and were surprised how busy it was on Wednesday. After ordering and receiving our food...the magic ended. My wife's soup was lumpy and luke warm at best. Her bowl was served on a dirty plate as well. The worst part is that I choked on a chicken bone from the "BBQ" chicken on my salad. It was a nasty experience. We walked out and won't be coming back. Caveat Emptor.

The food was good enough. This is a one star review because I believe I left my credit card at the restaurant when I paid, and they simply will not pick up the phone when I’ve called to see if they’ve found it. I must have called 10 times now. No one picks up and there is no voicemail. Ordinarily I’d just swing by in person, but that’s not possible here - I’d need a biltmore estate ticket just to get to the restaurant. This is extremely frustrating!

We had a blast eating where horses used to be! Our waitress was really busy but took time to answer our questions about the food and even chat about the property. The food was good, too! I enjoyed the ribs but my favorite was the baked beans. A neat experience I'm glad we had!

The chicken salad croissant was tasty and filling. The farro risotto really shouldn’t be called risotto. Definitely misses the mark on what I was expecting… but not bad.Service was great and really cool atmosphere

We had a fantastic lunch at the Stable Cafe. The BBQ pork and chicken were both delicious and full of flavor. The mac & cheese was creamy, and the creme brulee was terrific. If you are visiting the Biltmore House, definitely do yourself a favor and try this unique place to dine!

The service was good, the food took a good time to arrive. However the food is definitely not worth the price. You can go to some fast food restaurant and get better food.

Always a great experience when we come here. Our waitress, Paula was outstanding and went above and beyond for our food restrictions due to allergies and comfort during our visit. She had a wonderful energy and you could tell she enjoys what she does and making others smile. Highly recommend her and the Stable Café!!

I loved being in a historic stable. The hostess and waiter were very nice and responsive. The beef bourguignon had less than a tablespoon of beef in it. It didn't feel as special as I would have expected for the price and the setting.

We made our reservation 2 days in advance and had no issues. We arrived for our reservation a little early and were shown to our table. We were seated near the entrance in the middle of the two seating areas and while the restaurant was very busy, we had no issues. All the waitstaff seemed to be hustling. Nicole was our waitress and she took very good care of the 3 of us, all adults. Our table ordered 2 of the chicken salad croissant with chips and one the trout with a salad, sweet tea, a coke and 2 of the red sangria. The chicken salad croissant were very large, light, flaky and buttery and the chicken salad was delicious with apples in it. The trout was seasoned and cooked well and tasted great. The sangria was wonderful! We did not order dessert as we were all too full after our meal. Comfortable restaurant to be in, good atmosphere and the lighting was nice and bright. Overall a wonderful experience that we would recommend to our family and friends and we will return ourselves for subsequent visits.

Really enjoyed the rustic atmosphere and convenience of this place for a late lunch following the impressive house tour. Food was very good and plentiful, especially for lunch, and the service was attentive and helpful. My concerns are two: my wife's special drink was THIRTY DOLLARS. While it was good, it's hard to justify that price and our server should have mentioned that to us when we ordered. I know we could have asked, and I didn't expect it to be a bargain, but that is an outrageous price for a drink at lunch. It's no different than the server indicating the price of a food special, and it should have been noted given the price. Unrelated but also coming at a cost, I thought I clearly ordered a salad with trout as an addition to the salad (it was one of the listed additions). Instead, I got a side salad and a huge portion of trout (which was very good) and sides for a full lunch. Again, the server could easily have asked me to clarify what I was ordering if he was at all unsure. Instead, I ended up paying $38 for what should have been a salad with trout costing less than $20. I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but it could and should have been avoided. I still recommend the restaurant, which is quite nice, but let the buyer beware when it comes to ordering and cost.
