Used to be great, but under new fancy pants chef management it’s the hottest spot in town for $14 bologna and cheese sandwiches and $15 hot dogs. Yet they need a GoFundMe for their fryer hood? Seriously, hit up Montford Deli, you will receive quadruple the quality at half the price.

I've been to this place plenty of times, and never had a bad experience. I do wonder why they removed the kimchi burger from the menu.... Otherwise, it was a great experience!

I'm always rooting for the little guy, the mom and pop, the independent giving it a go. But these folks simply shouldn't be in the food business. Maybe car repair? Landscaping? 10am and place is empty--only one other table w 2 folks. Menu has "the Big Tastee" which must be their flagship dish, their best work, so that's my choice. Amazingly long wait. It's 2 eggs sausage bacon on a pancake. Plus hash browns. I asked for eggs over easy. they clearly have no idea what that is. Overcooked and leathery just a disaster. Bacon is limp and soggy not really edible. Sausage ok I guess. Hash browns are an oval hockey puck identical to McDonald's. Doubt if they made that in house. Pancake is enormous but doughy. No maple syrup, just the industrial corn syrup chemical tasting stuff. I asked for honey as an option but even there they couldn't be bothered with sourcing something local. Got the little over processed packets from smuckers. I'm guessing since they're open til 3am!!?? They cater more to drunks kind of like Waffle House. If you're at the incredible Sunny Point and cannot handle the wait you just might wander over here and be seduced by the hipster vibe. You might even think they care about great food. It pains me to write this. I'm rooting for the little guys out there But you're a restaurant with professional equipment and you should be able to cook at least as well as I can at home. For God's sake just hit a youtube video on how to properly cook eggs. I guess the purpose this place serves is to give drunks a place to eat. But if you're sober and care one iota how your food tastes, steer clear.

The food was GREAT. I had the chicken sandwich. they spell it sammich. perhaps spelling isn"t their forte? I initially called in to have my food delivered through Doordash. I was going over my order with them. I had a few questions as their website isn't exactly straight forward. Check it out and you tell me? I asked if I could have the "sammich" Nashville hot. She told me she didn't know. I asker her to check. She came back and said yes. There was some confusion on sides. The menu say "taters" I was thinking tots... I was wrong and she didn't mince words by telling me how wrong I was. Ok. I thought let's just move on. "can I have some wings? Blue cheese please". Her response " we don't put cheese on wings". Things got a little off the rails here. She told me she didn't want to serve me and then hung up on me. I called back and was hung up on again. So here is where i decided to have some fun. I went there. I ordered my food. Not sure if she knew it was me but there were signs. I was super polite and thanked her and the cook for some great food. My bill was $40. I tipped $30. When I left I said "next time it would just be easier to let Doordash get my food. She then told me get out . That was her opportunity to apologize. She took the low road. the audacity of taking my $30 tip to tell me to GET OUT! LET ME REITERATE THIS! SHE KICKED ME OUT AFTER I GAVE HER A 75% TIP! LITERALLY TOLD ME TO LEAVE! So good food cool atmosphere but what a nasty server. We have LOTS of options in Asheville just go somewhere else. Unless you are looking for a Dicks Last Resort experience.

This a very unique place. Great food, great drinks in a very friendly environment. Not just in West Asheville, very much a part of West Asheville.

Biscuits, dry. Pancakes, hard as a rock. Sausage gravy, worst I’ve ever had (and I’ve had some bad ones before.) Bacon, it was ok, could tell it’s been sitting most the day, but it was bacon. Atmosphere was very greeting, cool things all over the place. Not busy when we got there. The server seemed very nice, but didn’t do such a great job as a server, drinks went dry 2 different times, had to ask for more water. We could hear her complaining to the other server about the bartender, all while we were sitting there waiting for the check. This is a place I won’t be visiting again.

I’ve had some of the best dishes of my life here. I can’t eat gnocchi anymore thanks to Cheff Goff because nothing compares to his dish. The food is incredible but the staff are what make this place truly special. It feels like walking into a kitchen full of friends with warm greetings and savory smells. Even better, there’s a bit of a dive bar vibe without being a dive bar in that they have all kinds of tempting drink specials. Grab yourself a Carolina dog and a shift drink and enjoy it outside on a sunny day.Vegetarian options: Best impossible smash burger you’ll ever haveParking: Park around back or in the paid lot with ParkMobileWheelchair accessibility: Roll on in, no stairs

Please bring the chop cheeses at night. in NYC it is literally a night food. I brought in 6 people to get one after we all got off at work at night. To be rudely told no but it is what it is. I don’t see the difference of a burger and a chopped cheese when it’s literally putting a burger patty on chopping it and putting cheese and seasoning on it?

This is one of the coolest restaurants I've been to. It's label as a dive bar is authentic, yet somehow it's also not. The atmosphere screams of a dive bar, but the food and service is of a high end establishment. Flavor combinations are out of this world and extremely creative. The servers are exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable of their food. The restaurants community engagement is equally impressive to it's food, and solidifies this place as a one of a kind eatery. My wife and I made it a day trip from Knoxville to try this place after seeing it on CBS mornings, and it far surpassed our expectations. Having worked in fine dining throughout my life, this is the type of place restaurant chefs prefer to eat in.

This is a real dive bar serving a real breakfast. Good people working here. Yes, it is a bar, but locals eating here, good atmosphere. No lines and easy to park.

Great place! Super friendly staff. Great service and delicious food. She certainly knew how to make one of the best mimosas served in a pint glass. ?? Grilled Mac n cheese sandwich, what?!!! Too good.
