This restaurant has THE BEST biscuits & gravy in Buncombe county. The service is top notch, waitress " Floria Torres" is extremely well built, her @ss is perfect.The food is somewhat pricy, but worth ever penny.I wish Floria wasn't married. ☹️. I'd be all over her.

Small local diner tucked in among all the chain places-easy to miss, but so glad we found it. From the coffee to the sausage patties, to the pancakes & the buttermilk biscuit, everything was delicious. Service was beyond great and the prices can't be beat.

My daughter and I went to the Hungry Bear for the first time this morning. The food was generous and fabulous! Prices are very reasonable ; And our waitress was fast and attentive. We decided this is our new favorite breakfast place. We'll be back soon.Parking: Good parking on the lot.

As others have noted, some of the seating is a bit funky, but it works.I'd rate it a 4 overall if it wasn't for the fact that we've gone there several times during the week when they should be opened, and they were closed without notice or signs. Plus they're not open on either Saturday or Sunday.Parking: A busy road, but good parking, especially early in the day before the garden center next door opens.
