Not good. The people around us seemed to really enjoy their meals. So my wife and I were pretty excited about our own meal. My wife's dish was so salty it was inedible. I had ordered a soup . I put my face over the bowl and there was no smell. I stirred the ingredients and tried again....nothing. I tasted it and ..... nothing. I seriously thought I had covid coming on. I drank some of my beer and there was flavor there. I smelled my beer and yep there was smell in the bottle. I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Sorry. The staff was cool.

Overall really dissapointed with the food. Shrimp and broccoli tasted bad, also forgot the white sauce. We had beef added to our soup it was 2 really tiny chewy pieces of beef added. Also noodles where wrong in soup.

I'm surprised and glad to find an authentic Chinese restaurant in dt asheville. The food was really good (my only quibble was that the rice could be better, but it wasn't super noticeable next to the meats and veggies which were delicious). Good soups, a great variety of options, and very affordable. Probably the most affordable place to eat real cooking in all of Asheville.

The Szechuan Noodle Soup had no taste. The wonton soup somehow tasted the same. The sweet and sour soup was just warm with no taste. No broth—just water, noodles and veggies. I told the server, she told the owner and nothing was done. Go to Heiwa Shokudo or Wild Ginger instead. This experience made us sad.

I have always enjoyed the experience here. You have a great view, the prices are reasonable, service is attentive and the food is very good. More often than not, it is my first stop when I hit Asheville.

Sooo the reason I gave noodle shop a 3 was strictly off food the service was good and it has a very nice atmosphere. But the food was not good at all the noodles were in flavorful over cooked mushy and bland the actual Mongolian was good. The wonton soup was flavorful but the actual wontons was so thin and overcooked they looked more like egg drop. Now with this being said I am funny about my Asian food but this was a no for me and especially for $25…

Absolutely wonderful as always! Noodles are always amazing and delicious, staff is always so friendly and helpful and gracious! Hands down best noodle place in Asheville, been a repeat customer since 2008 ... Heck I take the challenge of finding parking downtown just to get to go from there to share with my coworkers! Literally never had a bad meal or experience with this absolutely amazing establishment! Do your belly a favor and go run, not walk and get you some Noodle Shop!! ??❤️❤️❤️Vegetarian options: Lots of options off the bat and easily accommodate dishes that aren't originally vegetarian into vegetarian options ❤️

This was a very cute shop but felt a little crowded. The food was pretty good but this was also my first noodle shop I have gone to. They had a 94 in cleanness and I'm all about that. I would recommend this place but don't drive a long distance to eat here. We got the normal size of Asheville noodles and it fed 4 people including 2 kids. The kids enjoyed the atmosphere. We also got dumplings and that was my favorite thing we got!

Great place that hasn't gone full tourist. You can still get a good meal here and the service is great too! Thank you noodle shop!

Traveling to western NC and decided to stop for lunch based on a magazine review. It was unseasonably warm Monday afternoon, so I chose to sit outside. Thank goodness- inside is VERY small and close. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the expectations I had based on the review. I had the Szechuan noodle soup with chicken and thin rice noodles. The soup came out quickly and was hot-but that's all that I can say was good about it. The soup was SO bland- no wonder they offered soy sauce and sriracha . Even those couldn't help. The chicken, what little there was, must have been boneless breasts boiled in plain water. I've never had such flavorless chicken. The service was attentive. Very disappointing...

I stop here every time I’m in town. I’m a sucker for Asheville noodle and enjoy the entire massive portion right down to the bottom of the bowl. I typically get thin egg noodles, but last weekend I had thin rice noodles and enjoyed those too.
