We loved this place. The owner ( although he said his wife was the owner, maybe he was joking) made the experience really fun. He was very funny and also helpful as we were new to the area. He really kept us entertained. (But it was encouraged, he was not overly intrusive at all) The food was delicious. Fresh beautifully arranged on the plate and at a very good price. I wish we lived closer I would go back for dinner. He was smoking ribs that afternoon and they smelled delicious. Overall great experience. Enjoyed sitting on the beautiful patio where many people had their pets with them.I would highly recommend this place.

We wanted a place for a relaxing dinner that would accept our 2 dogs. We hit the jackpot. The service was excellent, the owner answered our questions about the choices and made suggestions- even made lemonade for my husband, even though it's not on the menu. The dinner menu is small and changes every week. My meatloaf and mashed potatoes with corn were delicious, but his chicken pot pie was beyond delicious. Wow! Dessert- bread pudding with zucchini bread and chocolate sauce- oh my! The prices were very reasonable and as we left, they invited us to bring our dogs back anytime. I'm looking forward to trying their lunch menu and excited to see what they offer for dinner next week.

Great new restaurant! Our party of four just finished dinner and the food as well as the presentations were exceptional. We has chicken kabobs, salmon, eggplant as well as shrimp pasta and every dish was exceptional! Each person commented on how fresh everything was. We recommend highly and will be back soon. I would expect this restaurant to become one old south Asheville's finest.

Very good choice and healthy choices of entrées. The staff is very friendly. The presentation is quite impressive. A great place to get a quick bite in South Asheville off the beaten path. I'll come back and try that eggplant sandwich as well. I got the hummus plate with a dip of egg salad and it is one of the most impressive I've seen the area.

Great local restaurant that just opened on the north side of Arden near Biltmore Forest. Apparently it used to be located inside the Arboretum under a slightly different name. Every thing is cooked to order with high quality ingredients. What sets it apart is the service though, it's always been consistently friendly, you can tell they can't wait to come back to your table after delivering your food to make sure that you are satisfied with your order. The one awkward thing is that you order at the counter and then sit for lunch (I think the proper name for that is fast causal) but order at the table for dinner. I think additional signage guiding you to order at the counter for lunch would be beneficial. If you're a millennial you might be younger than most of the crowd, but give it a shot. It's tasty and high quality local food.

Excellent food, our entire family enjoyed! Fresh scratch made strawberry lemonade. Sandwiches that are fresh! One of us had the quesadilla which was very tasty! Would definitely come back!!!

We dropped by on Sunday for brunch. We are longtime fans of Abeja's next door, but wanted to try something different. We were glad we did! The man at the front was super friendly and upbeat. We ordered the egg salad sandwich and the Cobb Salad Sandwich. He stopped by with a line up of complimentary macaroons. Boy, were they delicious! I asked if they made the in house, but they were from France. No wonder they were so good. The pistachio and vanilla ones are so tasty. Now on to the sandwiches. The Egg Salad had jalapeno jam in it. All I can say, is wow. The flavors in this were phenomenal. Generously portioned, fresh and crave-able. My Cobb Salad Sandwich was really good too, but after tasting the Egg Salad, it sort of paled in comparison. It's a modest place and still new, but worth trying. Their sandwiches are made to order and with some good quality ingredients. They remind me a bit of Roman's Deli in terms of price point and value, downtown, but now much closer to me in Arden. On my list of lunch time favorites.

I was very surprised with this place... The food was freshly prepared and served with a large portion... They do not have table service.. You order and pay at the counter.. Food items were moderately priced and service was fairly fast... We had thunder storms the day we visited and had to eat inside..but they have great outdoor seating with nice views of the gardens.

I am always looking for freshly prepared, light lunch options in the Asheville area. As a longtime local, I try to frequent locally owned businesses. This is the spot! I tried their Vegetarian Muffuletta, and it was delicious! Will return to try other selections and especially their Sunday brunch.

The new Savory Way Cafe on 1550 Hendersonville Road in Asheville, NC is centrally located and a great new find. The Cauliflower Soup of the Day & Veggie Muffaletta Sandwich were delicious. There was also a delicious Ham & Cheese sandwich on the menu for traditionalists. Coupled with a nice selection of wines, beer, nice Sunday Brunch Menu and special Food / Wine Pairing Events, there is indeed a lot to be offered. Professional Chef quality options at reasonable prices. We'll be back on a regular basis.

This is the perfect place for lunch for me and my family. Fresh ingredients, friendly staff, and plenty of personality. I like my staples, BLAT, apricot chicken salad, and roasted turkey. But there is always something on the specials board that catches my eye, and it's ALWAYS delicious. I highly recommend the Savory Way cafe.
