$30 for two sandwiches.Caprese sandwich that doesn’t come with mozz… very strange to me. Basically a tomato sandwich.Chopped cheese was soggy. Not sure from exactly what.Highly don’t recommend. The caprese should have been $10 at BEST.Mind you, the measly (maybe like 10 chips) side of chips were not seasoned well & undercooked, so they lacked crunch & felt stale, or they had been exposed to moisture which led to lack of crunch you’d expect from chips.Highly recommend Montford over anything— Roman’s or Loretta’s.

Tried the Italian sandwich and it was fantastic. High quality meat and cheese with fresh veggies. The only knock I have is the portion of chips was very small (which is only a bummer because they were also good - crunchy, fresh, and good flavor). Will certainly be back to try more!

One of the best sandwiches ever. Bread was perfect, meats were plentiful and a nice Italian lager to wash it all down and the best thing, the prices!! Great addition to the valley. Yum yum.

If you’re looking for a deli that is the real deal look no further. I consider myself somewhat of a deli connoisseur, being that I worked at the second ranked deli in the country for a year (Hershel’s East Side Deli in Philadelphia), and this place in Swannanoa is the real deal. They make their pastrami in house, which is not easy, and it shows. Their rye is a soft as my Zadies hands (zadie is Yiddish for grandma) and their pickles are half sour like they did in the old country cause they couldn’t afford to make em full sour. If you like delis you’ve gotta go here and if you don’t you still should go because you probably haven’t been to a good deli.

They brought the downtown Asheville prices to Swannanoa.1) $19 for fried COD, a cheap fish but it was a huge hunk of fish and the fish was actually delicious! However the batter was close to being burnt. Delicious tartar sauce. I will more than likely not order again.2) Chicken Marsala?? if you can call it that. The entree came out with a fried chicken cutlet, maybe half a mushroom, mashed potatoes, and a little bit of Marsala gravy/sauce. It’s basically a southern fried Marsala and not very traditional. Will not be ordering again.3) the Blueberry pie was so good I could push a toddler over, but it came out cold and I wonder if it can be served hot. I will order pie again and am curious about the cherry pie.4) the staff was kind and friendly.5) BEAUTIFUL window seats with an amazing view of the Swannanoa mountains. This is a Dinner review. I will definitely be returning to try there lunch menu as it has a large affordable variety! As for dinner….. I’ll be hard pressed to return

It was a fantastic experience. The food was good but what made the night was the very enthusiastic, genuine staff. I really enjoyed the special, Italian fried fish, and Ryan, my server, was great. Go try it out!!

The new location in Black Mountain is a great addition to our area. The food is fresh and delicious. Can't wait to try to dinner menu later this week. The people are friendly and efficient even with this only being the first few days at the new place.Parking: In this area there are small parking lots in front of each business. During peak hours their might not be a space, but in general plenty of spaces.

my friend and I went for a light lunch when in Asheville. Staff was incredibly kind and food was amazing. Food didn't take too long to get and was steaming hot even after a chilly walk back to the car.
