This was a fantastic place to eat. We stopped in after a tiring beach day, and it was wonderful to be able to sit outside and eat while we had our dog with us. The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing!

Terrible bartender took 20 minutes to make two shots of lemon drops only two people at the bar then got pissed once my wife said something then deliberately crushed the lemons and filled the shots with seeds. waitress was amazing tho every other employee was just standing at the bar talking I will never return there again

I had dinner with a group a people and I enjoyed the Mahi Mahi tacos. I will also note that the fries and onion strings are delicious as well. I rate the food 4/5 stars because while the food was good, the portions for the price don’t match up. I recommend you try the food though just be prepared to pay about 15 to 20$’s a person.

Food was good but crazy expensive for simple meals. Staff was great and food came out pretty fast. Small inside seating with a larger outside area with sandy floor. I'd come again if I ever had extra cash to burn and I was close by.Kid-friendliness: Kid options were alright. Standard tenders you'd get at any mom and pop place. Grilled cheese was cooked well.

While the food is decent, it takes forever to get your order taken and then get your food. It took 15 min to get acknowledged by staff, 5 more to have our order taken, and then over an hour to get a fried chicken sandwich and some fries. This is food that should take maybe 15ish minutes. This is food that was purchased frozen from Walmart and then fried.We were not the only unhappy customers. I heard angry retorts about the length of time to get food from the tables around us -- one customer asked if the waitress was making the ice herself.Plus, be careful because the tip options start at 20%.

Don't use the bathroom, it's vile.$10.95 for plain, unseasoned nachos with a suspicious lack of cheese. $3 to add cold, dry beef. $14.95 for a Sahara-level dry burger.Fried pickles were actually pretty alright, bumped the food up to 2 stars.I really wanted to like this spot, I really did. But it just isn't for me, and I don't think it's for you.
Good food but the service has gone to hell. Not enough workers and space for the amount of customers you seat & waited over an hour to put a food order in before giving up and leaving. Saw other waiters taking orders from tables that got there 20 mins later than us... Not sure what's going on. Never had such a bad time there. Drinks are incredibly overpriced too

Unfortunately Idle hour’s service and food were a disappointment. We chose idle because it is a dog friendly restaurant in a nice area right by the beach. The outside seating is inviting with the fire pits , sand and live music. I ordered the mahi tacos , they lacked flavor. I’ve had better seafood inland North Carolina which I think is odd. My friend ordered the shrimp burger, we were expecting a patty but it came with actual pieces of fried shrimp and they were ok. My sister ordered the chicken sandwich but they didn’t have the chicken to make it so she got wings instead. We had to remind the waitress of the drinks we ordered and I got handed the wrong drink once. The waitresses were not very organized. I also got a margarita that wasn’t good . When we received our digital bill I made sure to ask if the chicken switch was adjusted and I was told it was so I paid. However it wasn’t until I insisted on getting my receipt was it discovered I was charged for the chicken sandwich as well as the wings. The waitress corrected it. I’m disappointed in the service most of all. I would not return.

A fun place to enjoy a beer; we didn't eat here. Sat outside, right in the sand- literally on the beach. Great service and selection of beers. Bartender was efficient & friendly. Plenty of parking & easy location.
