Horrible experience last time my family orders food from here. We ordered 2 steamed dumplings, 2 orange chicken, a general tso, 3 egg rolls and a chicken and broccoli. This is around 80 dollars. Normally we order grubhub because we usually get this for lazy day dinners. Today we got it takeout to avoid the extra fees. Got there picked the order up and came home. When I got home realized one orange chicken was missing. Cool I just got back in the car and drove up there. When I got there the guy at the register said to the guy cooking that I was missing one. I guess it was the manager from what I gathered. His English was really bad and I told him that I was missing one and he argued with me for a while and then went to the back and started fixing what I thought was my order that was missing. No it was the sauce that he said here dump on general tso I think. I said I don't need sauce I need the actual order of chicken. He kept going back and forth with me. Then the cashier said to call the number on the receipt I did and they sent me back to the same guy I just talked too.... I was already back home and said I needed a refund. He did the same argument again ?. I will never be going back ever. The dumplings were tore and lacked flavor. The ONE orange chicken that we did get was bland and lacked the orange flavor despite there even being visible orange peels. No thank you never again. Do your self a favor drive five to ten minutes further and go to China Wok.

No 1 Chinese Restaurant is an absolute steal when it comes to quality and price! When it's just the two of us, we don't hesitate to drop $20 to $30, and if we're thinking about leftovers for the next day, we might even splurge a bit more. Trust me, it's worth every cent.I can't say for sure if they're under the same ownership as the one in Winterville, but what I can tell you is that they've got their act together. We're willing to go the extra mile, literally, as it takes us about 15-20 minutes out of our way just to order from here!Their teriyaki chicken? Out of this world. It's officially crowned the champion among our top three favorites for teriyaki. Plus, the service is lightning-fast, which makes the drive even more worth it. No 1 Chinese Restaurant is definitely one of the top three Chinese spots in Pitt County that you shouldn't miss out on. Go the distance for this treasure! ??? #WorthTheDrive

My order was missing the extra broccoli I paid for and the egg roll that comes with it. The beef had no flavor and was gummy in texture. The only redeeming thing was the Crab Rangoon. Extremely upset with this quality.

The food is good. However, sometimes, the service is trash. The owner/manager cannot keep a cashier to save his life. He isn't fluent in English. Therfore, it is difficult to understand what he is saying when explaining or fix a mistake with an order. He isn't the most friendly at times. Also, if they mess up your order in any kind of way; you will NOT get a refund. They will offer to remake the food, but that's all.

Everytime I order they NEVER gives me what I ordered...This time I was missing a wing and extra onions which I paid for...I made it clear make sure that I get everything I've ordered...Get HOME a little rice not the extra onions I've ordered ANDDD three wings!!? BUT they never mess up with their price OR their money from you......this may be my last time....I am tired of them keep over charging me for something they never gave me. ANDDD When you call back to tell them about your order,they acts if they don't know English!!?

Ok so I call in order, lady on phone mind you must be wife to owner is always rude and lies about how long it will take to fix your food! Anyways, there has been many times I have gone in here where the people that work for the owners are being treated badly! Like this man was yelling at a young girl who is maybe 16/17 years old instead of talking to her like a normal human and telling her what was wrong he was yelling at her and slinging the HOT GREESE BASKET BACK AND FORTH!!! Which could have slug grease all over that young girl and himself and burnt them both! Like learn how to talk to people and treat people how you would like to be treated. I get it life is stressful but don’t take it out on your YOUNG EMPLOYEE THAT IS JUST LEARNING!!! Food most of the time is good here but not a professional place. I think he was in the back before this happened arguing in his language in which I didn’t understand but when someone is angry no matter the language you can pretty much figure it out that there is something going on and then that’s when he came out and started in on that young girl! Like no calm down Sr and talk to her properly!!! I needless to say didn’t keep my mouth closed because if it had of been my daughter that some boss was talking to like that and a customer heard it I would hope they would do the same and help my daughter out by letting that person know the way he was going about yelling at her is not the right way to do things!!! I hope he understood every last word I said because he needs to know that it is wrong to yell as someone like that! Again food is great but I don’t know if I’ll ever go back there because of this.

Mediocre food, disorganized, slow. When youLive in a small town, you adjust your expectations, so I don’t expect city dining. A ubiquitous Chinese restaurant isn’t going to serve top quality food, but it should at least be hot, decent, and not a hassle to get.If these people tell you it’s going to be a ten-minute wait, go ahead and count on 30. Recently, I ordered soup, only to get home and find it lukewarm. An egg roll should be crisp. These are not crisp and not hot in the middle.The last straw for me was standing on line to place a take out order. Ten minutes passed, and my order still hadn’t been taken. The young child behind the counter wasn’t helping the situation, as her mother had to keep answering questions for the girl.I drove to the other ubiquitous Chinese restaurant one town over, was served promptly with hot food.Don’t eat at No 1 in Ayden. Just drive 8 minutes to No 1 in Winterville. You’ll be glad you did.

Im giving them 2 starsBecause the young people they have working are not clean.I went in to order and 2 young girls started cooking the food without washing their hands before hand another walked out the bathroom went to the kitchen and didn't wash her hands.That was the last time I went there.The first time food was ok but they mixed my order up.....I was always taught if you eat Chinese food make sure the cooks are Asian and eat in their own restaurant.If you don't see that then don't eat there.

Tried this place out for the first time and got the chicken and broccoli with fried rice and shrimp egg roll. Shrimp egg roll was good and the broccoli just right but the chicken was definitely undercooked and you could tell just by looking at it. Smh first sad last.

I have lived all over the country and this is the WORST I've ever had!! I got house egg foo young, house special fried rice, and an egg roll. I got delivery and there were no napkins or any sauces. The egg foo young was way over cooked and I couldn't see or taste any vegetables or meat. That and the rice were completely bland. I paid a ton for this meal, just to have to throw it out. Disgusting!!!

Won't be back. Last night's order: Order wrong & uneatable. Wanted me to waste gas to bring food back that I could not eat. I returned it today as I was out. Gave food back proving it was uneaten I wasn't trying to get something for free. Only offered to remake. Not refund for food that couldn't be eaten.. Totally done with this company

Ask several times for my senior citizen discounts. did not get it when I acquired about it. they claimed they didn't know how to fix it. .had fried chicken wings .got home they were not done. cashier and so-called manager lady there have really no concern about the customers. I asked for the name and number of the store owner or manager I did not get neither one. I was just told the store manager or owner would be in on Saturday.this has happened over and over again. Also while waiting for my order. Every time people are coming in upset because they did not get all of their orders.and to top it off with I do Not live in Ayden NC but in Grifton. NC.getting to be a waist of time and gas to order and pay for food you don't get or is not cook all the way threw and even the price is not done right.....also the cashier and the so call manager Lady were just to busy taking Starbucks iced coffees out of the cooler there and drinking on themselves instead of taking care of their work that they're paid to do
