“Fantastic coffee shop and local spot. James is knowledgable and friendly. Definitely gives a homely, old town vibe. Coffee was awesome as well as their baked goods (brownies.)Only negative? I wish we lived closer.”

“Unexpected to find pad Thai in a place called pizza and subs. It was delicious, service was quick and the little tables out on the sidewalk were shaded and comfortable. Looks like they do a lot of takeout business.”

“First, let's talk about the food. My love and I started off with the kani cream cheese appetizer. Our first time trying it and we both fell in love with the flavor. We had both gotten the steak with asparagus. I got mashed potatoes, he got a baked potato. The steaks were cooked to perfection. They were so juicy and tender. There was this spectacular gravy that came with the potatoes that I was not expecting.(Side note, the potatoes are real, def not boxed potato's that I've seen in some "upscale" restaurants.) The portion sizes are amazing. I easily have enough for dinner tonight as well. Food is def a 10/10. The service was exceptional. Our server Alex was really awesome. Our drinks never got empty. She was kind and courteous. 10/10 customer service. Lastly the atmosphere. The place was very clean and the music was on point. I loved the authentic feel the music lent to this place. You can tell this is a family owned business that really cares about the quality of service and food. Will be coming back way more often. 10/10 on the atmosphere. Last side note is this place has the best chicken wings I've ever had. We didn't get them this time but will def next time.”

“First time visiting. Relaxed atmosphere in country setting. Don't let the outside appearance fool you. Enjoyed a great, well seasoned ribeye with a "just off the charcoal " taste. No steak sauce needed. Also had good burgers and pizza. Worth driving down Stokes Ferry for a neat night out.”

“The food was very good! We had a party of 20 and made a reservation a day in advance. The staff were amazing, and when we had 5 extra people, they were fast to accommodate. “Fun restaurant with a good selection of items for food and drinks. It's in a building that used to be a hotel so there are lots of nice design elements. Only thing I'd warn people of is I got the banana pudding canoli and it was DELICIOUS but the banana pudding is runnier than a canoli filling so its messy to eat. Worth it but be careful about getting it on your clothes.Vegetarian options: I had the cheese pizza with hot honey and it was delicious and there were a few other vegetarian pizzas. I don't recall a vegetarian kind of main plated dish but still happy with fancy pizza.”

“I’m not from Albemarle so today I had to work Albemarle I do healthcare transportation 6 AM in the morning 630. Little lady I was taken to dialysis didn’t have breakfast and I said well I can stop and get you something. You gotta eat before you so I googled winks that’s what she wanted. I did not know they did not take debit cards but let me tell you the hospitality I got in that place this morning was unbelievable. The girl says well you can come back and pay later, even after I told her I wasn’t from here, so the gentleman sitting by the register payed for her food thank you I didn’t think people did that anymore so freaking awesome but needless to say I’ll be in Albemarle all day so hopefully I can get by ATM and swing back in there and pay for my food and maybe for the gentleman food tomorrow for him to pass it forward because it was a blessing for The lady she had to eat before she went to dialysis so a big shout out thank y’all!!! If This is the hospitality, Albemarle throw out I’m moving to Albemarle just saying”
