Barista gave me a Latte, which I had ordered. On my way out the door, a different barista came up to said “ that is not your latte” took it from my hand, and gave it directly to another customer. The other customer was seated, did not see this interaction. I would not want a drink that a complete stranger had in their hand, smelled and possibly had tasted.

Just white, wannabe liberal (when it's convenient), toxic locals, and shady lgbt elitist showing bias against people of color AND any conservative that wants to mind their business. Rule 1#. Never go to a drinking establishment when the management flexes their political views against people that think differently. Rule #2. Don't be too successful in life or happy at this bar. They will ban you (jealousy). What's really sad, out of all the bars I've been to in CarteretCo.. I've been called the n-word the most in this place that bears the rainbow flag of inclusion. Cru has continued to allow those people to harrass people of color and conservative people who think differently. I've loved every place in this area except this one. From the management with toxic attitudes that hire horrible people to work as bartenders that think they are better than the patrons. This place is not for you. Please don't take the kids there, not family-friendly or safe for them.

Being vegetarian, there was a sandwich on the menu we wanted to try, only to find out they were out of one of the main ingredients.They made the sandwich a different way with olive oil and some other seasonings, and it turned out GREAT!! It was really nice of them to not just say they couldn’t make the sandwich, but to try anyway.Also, excellent coffee and chai!!

My Wife and I have been daily visiting this historic town for 30 years.We decided to visit for a weekend in a cottage to put us in walking distance of Front StreetWe had a wonderful time visiting all the businesses. While my Wife was in a shop I decided to grab a mid-day beer. Even though the patrons on the sidewalk were totally wasted and obnoxious just after lunch I walked in to grab a cold one.I stood and watched the bar tender if it applies, spend countless minutes opening a bottle of liquor. I waited as long as I could, then went to meet up with my wife.As I sat out on the bench between the businesses for her the display was definitely a sign of poor management:Finally in the evening I decided to give another chance for them to gain my patronage.I entered an empty bar with maybe 6-8 customers.The bar tender totally ignored me until his pee-on came back from smoke break to cover his slack from being sure to entertain his buddies. He didn’t even acknowledge me at all except to send his crony to tech me an overpriced beer.I informed them I had been in that bar long enough to drink 3 beers to just get one.As I walked out and guzzled it to get away from this desperate watering hole the guy yelled at me as I’m three blocks down “Where you going with that beer?”I told that jackhole the bottle was on his trash can.What a bunch of Jerks! Good Buy!Why does this town let you stay?!

It’s a shame that this place has good sweets and coffee but some of its staff doesn’t know how to speak to people and treat them with respect.My wife and I walked in with our friends, ordered coffee and some pastries to enjoy and sat down on what we believed were tables on an elevated platform.Not even two minutes later, a woman comes up to us and abruptly - had this look on her face like why are you sitting here - and tells us that they’re getting ready to have a band on stage at 3 PM and they’ll need us to move - it was 2:20.How about putting up some signs or letting people know as they make their purchase at the counter instead of telling people they need to move - and if you are going to tell someone to move, do it in a way that doesn’t make them feel like they did something wrong just for patronizing the place.

I have eaten here twice for breakfast and if I make it back to Beaufort, I’ll probably eat here again.The food is good, but very reasonable in portion size. So if you’re looking for a lot of food, this might not be the best place to go. But the quality is good. The coffee is good there as well.The staff is always super friendly. We always walk there from the marina/dinghy dock so I can’t talk about parking.I would like to go back and try the bar some evening.
