We used Daddy D's catering service for our daughter's wedding. Food was excellent. The wedding guests had the highest of compliments. Mr. Humphrey went above and beyond to provide the most excellent service. Easy to work and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly... highly.... highly recommend!!!!! Stopped here on the way back to New England. Place was nearly empty. Staff was very nice. BBQ was good but, imo, not worth raving about. Sauces were tasty, pulled pork was quite bland without a healthy drench of the sauce. Mac was rater bland and run of the mill. Boilled BBQ potatoes were not memorable. I would come back, but I wouldn't purposely seek it out.

I’ll tell you what, this is the place to get some bbq! We are here, at minimum, once a week. The loaded pork fries are delicious but don’t forget to drizzle the ranch on top. My son is so picky but he’ll devour the kids tender plate. The Mac Daddy sandwich with the sweet barbecue sauce is my favorite.. But, last night my husband and I ordered through doordash and got 1 bone-in chicken plate with two sides and split it! (Yes, it’s that big of servings!) And of course we can’t forget the banana pudding. Definitely FIVE stars, “redneck bbq lab” can’t even compete with Daddy D’s BBQ!! & Also the beautiful lady working upfront provides great service. See y’all real soon ?❤️

As of 3/2/24 26 minutes and waiting. Asked me to pull to in front of the store. I did……. Finally, At no point should someone wait 31 minutes no matter how good the food is. Especially at these prices..
Stopped in for a quick dinner after driving for 10 hrs in heavy traffic. Tara, our waitress, was exceptionally friendly, accommodating and informative. Food was terrific, 4 different kinds of bar b q sauce on the table to suit any and all tastes. My husband had Big daddy sandwich, Mac n cheese with pulled pork on a huge sandwich, and I had a little of everything with the vegetable plate (3 sides and hush puppies) and .25 lb of pulled pork. We got banana pudding for desert and it is made from scratch, which you know as soon as you take the first bite. Atmosphere is casual, and customers talk to each other, even strangers. If you ever have an opportunity, it's off Exit 79 of I-95 in a town called Benson, NC. DEFINITELY worth the stop.
Benson NC restaurant was all top shelf this was my first time , we just ate there hrs ago , the appearance was really nice ,clean and very friendly atmosphere service was quick and helpful , the food was excellent, salt and pepper coated brisket was moist and tender, pork ribs my wife got were the same with balanced sauce on them , the sides we got were cooked with flavor and just a touch of smoke where needed ! I love brisket,pulled pork, any foods cooked over wood southern style , so good job to this BBQ Restaurant!Parking: PlentyKid-friendliness: Easy laid back atmosphere, ready to help you and quick with food we were there at around 2:15 pm !Wheelchair accessibility: Flat easy to get In out
Definitely a place worth stopping if in you're a bbq fan!I've passed by Daddy D's a few times both in Fuquay and Benson but never stopped in. This time I decided, what the heck. We pulled into the Benson location, when you walk in you seat yourself. We were quickly greeted by our waitress and we both ordered a pick 2 bbq plate.The brisket was so tender as were the burnt ends! They have house made sauces on the table for you to choose from as well to top your bbq with. The French fries were nice and crispy. I don't know what they put in that mac and cheese but it was amazing! The hush puppies weren't my fav, they didn't have the nice outer shell crunch I love on a good hush puppy but the flavor was there!Overall, cute little place serving up delicious bbq!
