I've been coming here for more than 20 years now. I remember being a child and following my parents. I will always drive across town for the best ice cream around

Don't let looks fool you. Took our granddaughters here for ice cream. Everyone love what they got. We sat outside on picnic tables in the shade. A perfect area since we had two dogs with us. They love their treat.

THE local ice cream spot! a Black Mountain original that’s been around for decades, with great retro vibes. as of a couple weeks ago, they started taking credit cards. long live the Blue Cone!

The ice cream is great and was fast to come out. It was a nice place with not too many people. Overall is was a good vibe.

I just had a blue raspberry snow cone that was literally black. It was dyed very dark and got all over my hands. One may think this means that lots of syrup was used and it would be very sweet. However, the snow cone was not sweet at all. It tasted like chemicals mixed with ice. I don’t mind snow cones that have a lot of syrup and are sweet, but this was not that. It was awful. It is currently in the parking lot. I would say it is dying the parking lot, but the asphalt was black so the colors matched fairly well.

Visiting from out of town, was a little disappointed in the soft cream which wasn’t really ice cream it was whip cream, the whole boat of the banana split was whipped cream, it was disgusting, But first when it was given to me it was allMelted down as though it had been sitting for a while. WOW!Just make sure when your customers ask for soft serve ice cream don’t get it confused with whip cream. ?

This legendary local dessert shop is actually named for the 11th century Icelandic monarch Ragnald Bluecone, the so called "Dairy King", who is credited in the old Icelandic sagas with combining sheep's milk and honey and then freezing it in the famous glacier Eyjafjallajokull, thus inventing ice cream. Go. Get a dipped soft serve and pay your respects to Ragnald Bluecone, Dairy King. Cash only.

Good soft serve ice cream. Nice dense texture without too much air. Good quality sprinkles/shots/jimmies (depending on where you are from) too.
