What a weird experience. This was unlike every other Mellow Mushroom I've been to. It felt like it was 80 degrees inside on a 65 degree and sunny day. We checked into the host stand for dinner - they sat the group of 4 behind us who also checked in after us first. So I went back to the host stand, to the same hostess who we talked to earlier and finally got seated. This location is supposed to have a children's menu(as all other MM's I've been to do), no dice. Just a recommendation for pretzel bites or a small pizza. I got a Caesar with chicken - hands down the wettest salad I've ever received. My wife had the house with chicken and it was fine. The kids had pretzel bites with a beer cheese sauce, it wasn't until we asked if there were other options that they said we could get marinara.... They're kids, what 6 or 8 year old wants a beer cheese sauce for dipping. The QR code for beer was inaccurate with the first 2 beers we asked for being killed the day prior according to the server. All in all, the worst $100+ family dinner I've had in a long time.

I don’t have a clue what all the hype is with this place. The prices are astronomical and the food sucks. Portions are small. Booths you can feel the springs up in your butt. Service isn’t great. I took my friend here for her birthday on 2/25 and surprisingly the town was dead so we got right in. We were excited to try it. She got spinach dip which was delish except they give you hardly any bread and want you to pay $2 for more. Pizzas can run you over $30! I built my burger and got tots. My side was just 10 burnt flavorless tots. The ranch is gross. The burger was so dry because they won’t let you choose the rareness and overcook them. And they don’t give condiments with it. They ended up dropping my friends pizza so we were all about done by the time he got his food. That was the only thing they were happy with was the taste of the pizza. My husband’s calzone and dipping sauce was mid at best, the sauce is like tomato paste out of the can. I definitely recommend going elsewhere. It was $100 wasted.

Lando's Quick ReviewFood: I loved their Shitake Pie Pizza. It's absolutely covered in toppings, particularly mushrooms and a garlic sauce that I really enjoyed. Their mushroom soup was also very good as a quick appetizer. On a seperate occasion, I also had their Margarita Pizza. It was fantastic as well. Overall, their pizza is fantastic and the crust is to die for.Pricing: Their prices are higher than most pizza places, but if you all split a large pizza, it is still cheaper as opposed to getting 3-4 seperate dishes at most other restaurants. You can easily get out for $30 if you all split a pizza.Service: The person we had wait on us was very friendly and attentative. No complaints or anything to mention.Atmosphere: Nothing crazy here but it was very clean and pretty cool. Not a hole in the wall by any means.Parking: Parking can be scarce during the Summer Season. You may need to park far away and walk there.
Excellent fresh hot pizza, pleasant and attentive service. Very busy and fun atmosphere.Vegetarian options: Great selection for veg options.

Consistently great. This is our must go-to when visiting Blowing Rock and it never disapoints. I grew up going to Mellow in Asheville so it's fun to get a taste of nostalgia without getting let down. The beer is great on tap (unlike another restaurant we tried in town) and the pizza is awesome.
