Best food in Boone. Rustic restaurant with a great menu. Our waiter went above and beyond and was very attentive despite being a busy graduation weekend. We were there for husband's birthday and I had forgotten that I made note in comments. This is the first time a restaurant had actually made note of this.

Casa Rustica is our favorite restaurant in the High Country. The service is always great and the staff is friendly and everyone goes out of their way to make our dining experience a good one.

Food was good, bartender was great! We are in the area looking at property and she gave us a lot of good intel. We had Parmesan( me, chicken; husband had the veal). Both were good. We would go back again.

Excellent restaurant for a date night. We go every time we are in the Boone area. This time the food wasn't as good as it usually is, but it wouldn't keep us from going back.
Was highly recommended. Versatile menu making it hard to decide what to order! Between the two of us, had soup, salad, generous amounts of fresh hot bread, rolls and dipping oil, Chicken Dijon, Saltimbocca piemotese, salted caramel cheesecake. Everything was delicious. Can't wait to return and try some different options.
Casa Rustica always consistently good. We had a large party. We were served everything promptly by server who was very professional and attentive. Food arrived Luke warm which I attribute to the size of our party. I had the glazed salmon, farm raised, which was basically a frozen piece of salmon. Was OK, risotto was OK, nothing special. Alway love their basil salad dressing. I should have stuck with Italian.

Such a nice place to visit and relax. The lodge feel with fireplace roaring made the evening ideal from the first glass of wine all the way through dessert to finish the night off. Definitely would go back.

The food was good and we were seated by the fire which was nice on a cold night, but watch for extra charges for any modifications you make. I got the manicotti, which was good but they charged $4 for about 3 tablespoons of meat sauce- which hardly had any meat. For two people eating pasta- no appetizers or desserts- you are looking at $50+ for dinner. It's about what you really want. Ambiance was pretty good, food was tasty, service was good- but the value is questionable.

This was a place we spontaneously decided to dine. My boyfriend told me he'd gone before and it was good so I agreed.They immediately had a spot for us to sit. It was the perfect spot as well because they had musicians performing and where I sat, I was able to enjoy them. My boyfriend said he'd never been when anyone was performing (we went later in the evening around 7:30, not sure how frequently they have someone perform). They played up beat jazz and let a customer sing a song the customers father wrote while they played.The food was absolutely delicious, the waitress we had was knowledgeable and sweet. I will definitely be back.I think the unknowing adventure we had made it more magical, but it's definitely worth the money for the all around experience we got.

I hate to give a bad review so let me start with the positive. The service was good. The server we had was a polite, hard working college student. The restaurant was a quaint log cabin like atmosphere.The food on the other hand does not even deserve a 1 star. We had 3 entrees. Penne Vodka, Chicken Parm with Linguine and Veal Marsala with Linguine. I’m not sure which dish was worse. First we had the French onion soup that tasted like salty sewer water. We did send that back. We got a Caesar salad for an extra charge. The salad was served on a bread plate. For the extra $2 they could have put more than 2 pieces of lettuce on the plate. The Penne tasted like Glue. The Veal had a brown gravy with one mushroom that they wouldn’t even serve in a nursing home. The chicken was a larger portion and the red sauce was like out of a can but worse. The food was inedible. We each ate one bite and politely said we were full and paid our bill and went home and ate cereal for dinner. I would never try this restaurant

Upon walking in received warm and friendly service that continued through our entire dinner. Food is solid home style Italian with a good menu of choices and good wine list. Cozy atmosphere in the restaurant. Only word of caution is get there a little early as the parking lot can get quite full.

We had reservations for 7, however 2 people could not make it so there was only 5 of us. We were sat at a 4 top with a seat on the end in a major thorough fair of the restaurant near the kitchen and at bottom of stairs rom the upstairs dining area. then we ordered 5 entrees Only 1 entree of 5 was good. 1) ordered not mushrooms and all mushrooms all over it 2) ordered add chicken and came with no chicken 3) steak was so cold it could not even melt the butter on top 4) there was not enough sauce to even cover my pasta to eat. We mention these to the serve and we were just told that the food from the kitchen seems to go down hill after the head chef clocks out at 8:30. Then you should close at 8:30. I deserve to have the same quality food at 9:30 as those who ate there at 7:30. We were trying this place to cater a major event. We will not be using this place for our event . Nor will we return.
