How Brevard and Transylvania County officials are allowing this icon of restaurants to be taken over for a round-about is beyond

I'm so sad that I can't give this place more stars. The place is quaint - right by the creek (duh) but also right next to a fairly busy road. So sitting outside may be too noisy for some. We didn't have a problem with it though - we were able to dine with our dog. The staff deserve 5 stars without question! They were amazing. Now for the 3 stars - the food. I got the chicken parm sandwich which was extremely dry shredded chicken with marinara sauce on a pretty decent bun. I didn't notice any cheese. The fries are the kind that have a crust and I enjoyed them. My husband got the chicken cordon blue which was chicken salad with some ham. Nothing like what he expected but he said it was ok. For people like me that HATE mayo, that would be a hard pass and I would have had to order something else. The menu doesn't have any explanations of what's on each item so there is no way you'd know until it arrived. Might be sometime to consider when updating menus. Overall, meh. Sadly.

This mom & pop place had been on my radar for awhile, but today we decided to actually to try it. It's adorable and sits right on a little creek, so in good weather, it's a perfect place to eat. It's a little chilly today so we opted for inside. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive and quick. They offer something for everyone, but my hubby and I chose subs. There are 3 different sizes to pick from, which is really nice! I had a 4" toasted roast beef/provolone that was full of meat and delicious. Hubby had 8" cold chicken salad that he said was tasty. (I wish I'd remembered to take food photos). It was a smidge pricy but worth it imo bc of the accommodating staff and ambiance. I highly recommend this cute place.

I've passed by here a hundred times and always thought this local dive just HAD to be good. But I was always on my way to or from somewhere and hadn't had a chance to stop in. I finally stopped in today just before closing to see if my instinct was right. And yes it was.The staff were great and did not treat me like I was a nuisance for stopping by at 5 minutes to closing like some other places do. Of course I ordered to go though to be respectful of their operating hours. The turkey sub was fresh and delicious and now that I know they're open for breakfast as well, I'll definitely be returning to try that menu. Thanks Creekside for a great experience!

I’ll start off saying the people were really friendly and we bought a cool piece of art from off the wall. We stopped for subs to carry with us on the trail. They come in styrofoam containers so not the best option for carrying. But that’s on us for not knowing. What’s not on us is how bad the subs were. They’re basically a pile of shredded lettuce and chopped tomato with whatever filling you pick. Stale bread. We ate half at the trailhead and planned to have the rest when we were done. But ended up throwing them out. The potato salad was good. And there was a big breakfast crowd so maybe that’s better. We won’t be back for sandwiches — subway would be a better option. And a tasty sandwich does not seem like a hard thing to make.

The food and service were so good, I'm not even taking off a star for the duct taped booth. Seat that poked my butt. I guess that's just part of the ambiance
