My children and I went out to dinner at this location yesterday evening. Everything was good until we were leaving and on our way home from the restaurant and started getting very sick on our stomachs. I will not share the gruesome details but my youngest son and myself had to be seen in the emergency room and treated for food poisoning and dehydration. I am reluctant to visit this place anytime soon considering I paid nearly $60 and me and my family had food poisoning.

LA Cocina is one of my favorite restaurants in Burlington. Stopped by, for my birthday, to have lunch and they surprised me with a birthday treat. Thanks for great service!

At 4:30 last Thursday my wife and I agreed to try this place. It was a slow afternoon. But after our experience We will NOT go back. My T-Bone ranchero steak was tougher than shoe leather. Left most of it on the plate. Veggies were swimming in oil. Plate was hotter than a fire. My wife’s cocktail de camaron was swimming in a sweet ketchup flavored sauce. The waitress served the soda bottle without a glass of ice and no straw. Overall, we felt ignored by the wait staff. Too many other good restaurants nearby to go to this bad one.

Always fun to go to. Been going for years, usually for lunch. Great service and never disappointing. Always ask for the "house" salsa and they will bring out a green one and a red one (hotter) different from the mild one they bring out for everyone.

Great food, service and atmosphere! The shrimp salad is better than San Marcos! The sweet tea is perfect as well.
