Don’t let the parking lot, age of the building or the traffic control one way street and median stop you from trying this Tex-Mex place. It’s one of the last that still use real rice and no gimmicks to make it look like you’re getting more than you really are. Food is excellent. Service is excellent. There is a separate bar room to the right and the restaurant to the left with outdoor dining area if you like that. Standard seating in dining room. My guess is they are old enough to have low overhead and that is reflected in the prices. It doesn’t sit on a picturesque hill and it’s not in a large shopping center. It’s on the corner of a very busy one way street and missing the turn in is easy. If you do, just take the next two rights and you’ll come to the back and right side of the restaurant where there is a wide turn in. Parking lot has lots of patches and divots. If you don’t see lines just line up with the other cars who have been patrons for years. They know where the lines used to be.Parking: It’s not the kindest parking lot with lots of patches and loose gravel and uneven pavement, but there is plenty of parking. The street in front is a one way street so if you miss the turn in take the next two rights and it brings you to the back and side with wide entrances. Long time patrons just know how to park there and create the rows themselves.

I have had good food from here before, but today I tried to get a bowl lunch (similar to Moe's) ended up costing me $23.00!!! There was no rice in my ACP! I added beans (ok I will pay extra) but then charged 8.50 for enough lettuce, pico and guac to barely fit 2 tacos!! I will just go to Moe's from now on!

We add a spoonful on top of the Mexico City tacos.Mexico City TacosFour steak and grilled onion tacos served on corn tortillas, topped with fresh cilantro accompanied with frijoles charros (pinto beans with chorizo and ham), grilled small knob onions and sliced radish*Excellent Street tacos..Since real ‘street’ tacos are lacking of the usual 80% of ‘Americanized’ taco garnishment, the whole deal is in the flavor of the meat.*Chiles Poblanos, a great vegetarian choice.Two poblano peppers stuffed with cheese, fried in egg batter, covered with special sauce and sour cream.
