We found this little gem while coming back from a trip up in Tennessee. Wanted something different for lunch before a hike up the road. Wow. This place is so good. I can’t say enough about the food. So so good. Had the pulled beef. Man so flavorful. I got the beans and coleslaw. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich. Really great. Piled high and everything is made in house. They don’t have a microwave or a freezer. Nice. Great bbq sauces. The owner is super cool and knows his stuff. You have to check this place out. Plus he has bands play during the week. We are most definitely coming back.

Great variety of smoked meats. Me and my son-in-law had the tri-tip, which was tender and excellent. My daughter got the pulled pork which she says was excellent. Sadly, they were out of the brisket, which was why we stopped there. But we were very happy with what we had!

Food was great. I recommend the pulled pork and the okra stew. Cornbread was yummy too. Place was pretty slow at about 4 when we were there so we got our food pretty quickly.The women’s bathroom was strange but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was fragrantly neutral, and the sticky notes were very encouraging to read.Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to if we’re in the area!
So worth getting off 40 for this!! Starting with the bun, sweet and fluffy...just perfect. My husband got the pork sandwich and I got the brisket. Hands FABULOUS!! The meat wasn't over seasoned and like butter!!! The beans and Mac cheese, well you just gotta get your own! Definitely will return next trip!

Where do I start. I absolutely love Doc Brown’s. The customer service is truly the definition of southern comfort and hospitality. The food has always been consistently amazing throughout the years. I got the tri-tip plate last night and it was so wonderful, I ate it all with no regrets. Local brews on tap, and the most reasonably priced in the area. Live music is coming back for the season, and it’s always so fun and refreshing to see the community get out and have a nice time. Thanks Doc Brown’s!

This is where you can get a no frills BBQ meal with some wonderful sides. While not fancy, it has the true vibe of what you should get for a hometown business that the locals had takeaway by the bag full. The rbs are NOT the fall off the bone stuff that so many hold dear. Having run the Maine KCBS event for three years, with one winner scoring big at "The Jack" this would rank right up with the big boys. Relax, let down your hair and enjoy some great BBQ.
