I returned to Griff's to try the dinner menu. I had the gnocchi, spouse had the pork shoulder. We shared the arancini for an appetizer, and then the chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was delicious and the service was great.

Absolutely amazing, everything. Even the fries are divine! if I could rate it higher, I would. The staff are super friendly and amazing in general. Getting the food is a bit of a wait but, its really not bad especially since the food is so good. The inside is sweet and simple not much to see and I really like it because its not like my ADHD on the walls.

Higher end cuisine for this part of town. We went for a family St Patrick’s Day sit-down & we’re not disappointed. My husband & his brother had the fish & chips. Fish was fresh & flaky. Fries were flavorful. I had the Shrimp & Grits. Flavor was good overall. It was an unusual take on the traditional Southern staple. Shrimp were plump & tender. Wide bar selection with attentive staff. Restroom situation was limited with one stall out of order & the other understandably occupied.

I was looking for fish and chips for St. Patrick’s Day, and came across a local Facebook group post highly recommending Griff’s. I live close to here and have been wanting to try them for a while, and I’m glad I finally did! I will most definitely will be back! Nice, quiet, clean restaurant with pleasant lighting and comfortable atmosphere. The fish was some of the best I’ve ever had: super soft, moist, and flaky, light crunchy batter, great flavor, truly cooked perfectly! The fries were also good, hot, crispy yet soft, seasoned with course sea salt - very good. All made to order, hot, and very fresh tasting. The house made tartar sauce was excellent too. I also had a cup of soup: today it was a potato leak soup and it was very good, great flavor. They are a little expensive, but I feel they are fairly priced for the quality of what I received. Also I should mention that they are a much nicer upscale restaurant. It is always worth paying a little extra for great food and service, and you get exactly that at Griff’s!! I highly recommend them and am looking forward to trying some of the other items on their menu, of course that’s if I can pass up ordering the fish and chips again! I should mention that the fish and chips are not listed on the online menu, but it is on the menu in house - see pictures for current menu information.

We just ate here for Valentine’s day and they were gracious enough to take a last minute reservation. The waitress was very new and was trying her best but she seemed to be overwhelmed which is not an issue as I have been a server before and understand how difficult it is. The food was incredible and was completely worth the wait! We started with the cheese and meat plate which was one of the best boards I have had in a long time. The fried pimento cheese balls were incredibly gooey and delicious with a bit of heat from the hot honey. For entrees we got the gnocchi and pork shoulder. The gnocchi was light and flavorful. The pork shoulder was moist and savory. Everything was top notch and I highly recommend it. The owner is also an upstanding gentleman. We eavesdropped on his conversation with the waitress expressing his admiration for her and apologizing for making her take on too much too early. We will be back!

This is an undiscovered gem in Candler NC that is easily accessible from Asheville. There is plenty of parking available unlike downtown Asheville. We were greeted promptly and seated at a table. The service was impeccable and the food was some of the best we have ever had, don't miss the Turnip soup! It was smooth and delicious with bits of cooked bacon in it and smoked clams in the shell on top. We could have eaten a gallon of it! The main courses of pork shoulder with braised cabbage was outstanding! The ricotta gnocchi were little light pillows of goodness and the roasted squash and apples were the perfect complement. Don't miss this restaurant if you are in the Asheville area

Our lunch was very good.We had the shrimp bun to start. The steamed bun was nice and soft. The sauce for the shrimp was nice and spicy. The Bulgogi sandwich was amazing. The spiced beef had the right amount of heat to contrast nicely with soft fried egg.The Turkey club was fresh and big enough to share.

Food was decent. But the salad was just lettuce, or spinach, or something green--nothing else. The main issue is that it took about 45 minutes to get a burger.

Good food, everything we ordered was hot and fresh. Drinks were also very good. However; we went on a Friday night and were seated right away, but were informed the kitchen was not taking anymore orders until they filled to go orders. It took over an hour to get any food (including bread and butter). This isn't the ideal place for hungry kids.

Best restaurant in Candler. I mean - I haven't been to all of them. But I'm pretty sure this place would be real hard to beat.
