I have had the pleasure of talking a meal in this quaint restaurant on several trips to Cary. This is country eating at it's best.

This mom and pop restaurant had excellent BBQ. We had the pork and beef brisket. The potato salad was great, and I don't even like the stuff. So were the hush puppies. I liked the fine chop on the coleslaw, the molasses in the baked beans, and the selection of sauces. The decor feels like each member of the family got a wall to decorate, but I wasn't there for the design, and the food was more than worth it! Just try all the sauces!Parking: There's parking on both sides of the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: I would bring kids

Everything was great the meat was juicy and fell apart. Usually places like this are really greasy, but this one wasn't. Will be coming back. Perfection!

Was in the area and decided I wanted some good bbq. All I’m going to say is that I certainly didn’t find it here.

I went to Danny's yesterday with my 2 kids because my 7 year old loves their smoked turkey. We ordered and sat down. The lady at the counter said she would bring everything over. She brought our drinks. Then we waited and waited. I hate being "one of those customers" but it was like 30 minutes later, my kids were hungry and fighting. So I went up and asked "hey did you guys forget about us?" It was another lady at the counter by then. She couldn't find our order initially. Looked in the computer and found it. Apologizes profusely as the order didn't make it back to the kitchen. Without me asking for anything she immediately refunds the whole meal in cash and our delicious food was on the table within minutes. I know that this was just a miscommunication error somewhere but I was SO appreciative of the way they handled it. What a Nice bunch of people. And delicious brisket and smoked turkey to boot. We have been coming here for a while and will continue to do so. Love Danny's. The smell when you walk in the door immediately makes you hungry and their food doesn't disappoint. Fair prices as well compared to other BBQ places around (ahem City BBQ could take a leaf out of their book). Thank you so much for your kind service yesterday. Great experience as always. We will be back. Highly recommend!!

I’ve consistently been coming to Danny’s since they were at the Walnut St location. Food is the best in the bbq genre - hands down. My issue is the lack of background music. Danny’s use to have it but apparently the system broke. Well, while this doesn’t seem like a big deal, come in after the lunch rush and it’s awkwardly quiet. You literally feel that it’s missing something. Then you start hearing others eat (and they probably hear me as well). It’s annoying and the silence is just weird. And it’s such a minimal investment too. Just play some music for crying out loud. Also, the ladies need to be a bit more attentive to empty drinks, especially when its slow. It’s been a common problem during the lunch hours (I’m in at least every 2 weeks). Not a huge deal but a little frustrating at times.

First time here. We had a great experience. The brisket was smoky and tender and the beef rib was just out of this world. No sauce needed! The sides were good and the service was adequate. Our new favorite spot for BBQ.

Secret little gem In cary for good bbq potato salad is the best I have ever had. They also do big orders have fed lots of folks for gatherings though dannys it's always a hit. Takes me back to my days on the west raleigh ball fields off Barringer.

Order and pay at register, food brought to you but must go back up to get tea refilled or anything else. Wish they didn't ask you to pay your tip before getting your food because "service" is non existent.

Must be a great local place. Six local police in uniform came in, and they were known by name. The bbq was very good. I had chicken. My hubby had brisket and ribs. Friendly service. Difficult to find for out of towners. Very close to the amphitheater and why we went.
