Went there 2 nights ago and almost beat up the bartender for attitude. He got mad because I caught a group of @ least 5 or more workers just standing around talking and laughing in the kitchen, after I walked in and was not greeted until after 10-15 mins. The little girl with glasses was past rude and the others were just lost. Kudos to the janitor that went and got them for me. You guys should really control your staff. Right is right and wrong is wrong. If I run into that big Hispanic bartender again and he gives off attitude like he did last time...I cannot promise his safety frfr?? definitely 0 out of 5 stars for me.

It was a decent experience. My friends and I went for drinks and we got served Whiskey in beer glass. They didn't have clean glass in a tavern. Never heard that before.

I actually took a chance on take out on a calm Sunday afternoon. The food was really not bad at all. Mine was cold but I also delayed picking up my order. I was pleasantly surprise by the taste of the food. The hosts weren’t the friendliest but they weren’t rude. They were non-chalant. The atmosphere seemed relax and overall clean. I’ll definitely return.

Typical corporate happy hours and sometimes be boring. But when you have a great bartender or actually in this case two great bartenders, they can make the night a lot better. Incredible service from two wonderful ladies working the bar last Thursday night. Delicious shrimp and nacho platter topped off the evening after a few cold Miller Lites. If you're looking for a laid back atmosphere and want to invite some coworkers to have a cocktail after hours, hickory tavern is the place. If the two bartenders are an example of how great the services at this location, you can't go wrong!

My daughter and myself were eating at this restaurant and we were served by a waiter with dreads. He seemed to be in a rush the entire time while the restaurant was nearly empty. He brought us the check 15 minutes into eating our food. Why on earth would you bring a disgusting piece of paper to us that’s been through a machine as well as in your unwashed hands to our table and hand it to us while we are still eating. That is poor service and poor hygiene habits. We will never visit this restaurant again.The food was not bad but the service made it un-enjoyable.I would not recommend to anyone if this is a common theme and pattern among wait staff.
We went on an off night and the kitchen was slammed. The manager went above and beyond to make up for the kitchen slowdowns. We could tell he was sincere and really cared. Will definitely give this place another try.

I go to the Hickory Tavern every Wednesday afternoon for our local real estate investors meeting. Laura is our server, and she does a fantastic job. I don't know how she manages to keep track of everyone's order! Nice one, Laura. Keep up the great work.
