I ordered the seafood platter that comes with fried catfish, fried oysters, fried shrimp ?, and fries. This dish needs a bit more flavor and seasoning for it to be a Louisiana restaurant but not bad.I enjoyed the red beans and rice ?, the corn ? bread ?, the gumbo, the jambalaya, and the fried alligator ? bites. These were all flavored nicely and seasoned well. I would definitely order this again.I ordered the bourbon Brownie. I didn't like this one. The bourbon sauce was just like eating sugar. The Brownie had a lot of sugar throughout it. The ice cream ? was hood though.Parking: Open parking.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, there is wheelchair access.

We were looking for something different, and we're thinking oysters. We decided to check the big easy oven and tap as their website looked amazing. We live 45 minutes to an hour away but we're going to be in the area so we decided to try it. We pulled up and it looked like the place was empty, but there was actually a few people at the bar. We ordered drinks and fried calamari to start and the drinks were good, the calamari was decent, but overdone and a little chewy. My wife got the catfish po' boy and she really liked it. Fries were very good as well. I got the taste of New Orleans and for $17 I felt very jipped. They give you three little cups of rice with a little of each offering on top. Rice and beans, gumbo and jambalaya. Three tiny fried shrimp on the side. Outside of the shrimp, the three cups of the other things were just warm. One almost cold. Needless to say we were not impressed. The atmosphere is dated and the bathrooms are absolutely horrible! This place is a candidate for a bar rescue from John Tapper! It has potential but falls way short of what they show on their website

First time at the restaurant and ordered the bourbon chicken. It was delicious. Perfectly cooked and perfect seasoning. The serve was excellent. They didn’t rush us out even though me and my friend got caught up in catching up conversation. Will bring my family back to try.

We had to seat ourselves when we walked in and it almost empty in the restaurant. Drink tasted very watered down. The appetizers were good and the nachos saved the entire experience. Shrimp and grits was served cold and had to be remade. I really didn't like the presentation of the Shrimp and grits which had cold cheese thrown on top. We requested for no oysters on the seafood platter and they too had to be remade but no other extra portion of shrimp or fish was offered.

We had an outside table. I went here yesterday because I wanted to spoil myself for working hard the past week. I certainly went to the wrong place. I ordered bourbon chicken and orange alcohol drink. Also, i ordered crab cakes as an appetizer. They were horrible. It was falling apart, very soggy. But I didn't even complain about that. My husband tried, and copied my drink ordered. When they brought the drinks to the table my husband didn't like the drink it tasted sour and bitter. Mine was nice and sweet. He told the waitress and she asked the manager if they could switch out for something more pleasant. And they denied it and said we would have to pay for both. They are not in the business of giving out free drinks. Which was fine, we don't expect them to accommodate their everyone. Then we ordered dessert. We ordered beignets, and they gave them to us raw. The middle was creamy, I'm kicking myself because I should have taken a picture. The waitress said she was sorry and they just hired a new cook. Poor excuse to a paying customer. I don't want to say it was a racial thing. But the manager should at least come to the table and smooth things over.

10 out of 10! I came here yesterday w/ my amazing friend! Christie was our waitress, she was AMAZING and super sweet! BE SURE TO ASK FOR HER! My friend and I sat outside, started off w/ the fried pickles, I never had them before but they were sooooo good, including the sauce, I had the spring mule (that’s not what it’s called but it was so good) for dinner I had the ribs (half) w fries and broccoli! My friend had the salmon it was good too! Yep you guessed it I couldn’t finish it all! I’m definitely coming back here again. We sat outside and the weather was perfect for it!!

Never have tried real typical Louisiana food before this day, but was very surprised! First time trying alligator and it did not disappoint. Ambiance was nice and service as well, and food tasted really good!

A 3oz chicken brest, and a very small container of pasta salad.....This is what I paid $20 for? The chicken is three times the size of a normal plastic fork end and maybe 4 fork fulls of pasta salad. I am so disappointed in this restaurant today. Never again. I work very hard for my money and I wanted to enjoy the taste of the Big Easy of Durham, NC, but today I did not get the chance to experience this....the chicken is hard and chewy...I can't, I'm just done.

Food was good. The service was good as well. Overall it was a good experience. I'm my opinion this place is a step above Applebee's or somewhere similar.

Service: Nicole was super nice - 10/10 Appetizers: She Crab Soup | 4.5/10 | I would not consider this she crab soup by any means. It's more of a southwest crab soup. The corn muffin that comes with it is amazing. Mini Crab Poppers | 7.5/10 | a little too soft but flavor with a good amount of crab Entrees: Shrimp & Alligator Po Boy | 6.8/10 | the fries are just like 5 Guys! The shrimp was fried perfectly. The gator was a little greasy. The remoulade was good A Taste of Louisiana | 7/10 The Gumbo is flavored well just needs a little salt and pepper, and the same goes for the red beans and rice, The Jambalaya however wasn't good Overall: 7/10 - I wouldn't rush back but I would return

I think this will be my new go place. The food and service was perfect. I had the shrimp and oyster Po Boy and can not wait to go back. .

Exactly what it should be. Easy to order food from the bar. Gumbo, Creole, Beans and Rice are all top tier. Bartenders are great!

I am from Louisiana, and I must say this isn’t very good gumbo. I also eat gumbo at other places locally and this had to be the worst gumbo I have ever eaten - it’s not really gumbo. I am not a food snob at all BUT the gumbo, jambalaya, and red beans and rice was much less than average. Very disappointing. Maybe the fried food and bbq is good, BUT the Cajun dishes I mention have a lot to be desired.
