This is my favorite restaurant in Chapel Hill. Such a lovely authentic Greek restaurant. My fiancé and I go weekly for date night and we’re always warmly greeted by staff. The food is delicious, takes me back to Greece and the service is always great.

The spanakopita was bad and they serve fake maple syrup with their pancakes. Omelettes are fine but nothing special. Nice outdoor patio.

If you've ever heard me complain about Greek restaurants, those days are now over.THIS is what I'm looking for in Greek food!Having enjoyed Greek food in Astoria back when we lived in NY, we know what good Greek food should be. THIS place has the best Greek food around this area.Fantastic Greek salad, saganaki, tzatziki, spanakopita, lemon spiced potatoes, and ... the lamb is amazing. The ambiance is wonderful, including live music. Open kitchen layout is fun. The service is spot on. Absolutely love this place. Can't wait to go back.

Rude manager terrible beer would not accommodate an hour wait with reservations

Appalling manager, horrific customer service. We booked a table for 16 people with young children at 8:15pm. By 9pm we were still waiting for our table, no apology from the ‘manager’ and at no point throughout us waiting, did she keep us updated on how much longer we would be waiting for. She never smiled, and had a disgraceful attitude from the very beginning. Her excuse was ‘it’s rude to ask people to leave their tables’ when they had clearly finished their meals. It looked like no one was going to leave their tables any time soon, so I said how can you take a booking for 16 people and keep us waiting this long and not manage the situation or your customers expectations. It’s RUDE to take reservations and to not fulfill them!!! She had no intention of trying to get us seated soon. I live in London and busy restaurants give tables a certain amount of time for their meals usually 2.5 hours and then the servers will let you know from the beginning that they will need their tables back at some point for the next bookings. It’s not rocket science, it’s how you manage a busy, popular restaurant and get tables turned. So basically I could book a table at any time and stay there all night at my own leisure, after finishing my meal - she won’t ask me to leave ‘because it’s rude’ what kind of insane reason is that?!!?! Poor business sense at its finest. And I meant every word I said to her. She didn’t like that we got understandably angry and frustrated, who wouldn’t after the we spent $70 dollars on taxis to get there and to have wasted over an hour waiting for a table which we booked. She couldn’t even tell us when we would be expected to be seated. She was arrogant and eventually told us our reservation was cancelled. What a joke. Clearly there was no reservation at all, you idiot!

Pre Booking here means nothing. We stood for an hour past our table booking time waiting to be seated, nobody came to see how we were or offer us anything. We were a large party of 16 with small children and at 9pm the manager basically told us there is no table. There was no apology, all she would do was list off the things she wouldn’t do for us. When we got frustrated she said we all had to leave. The food looked nice and there was a good atmosphere, its just unfortunate that the manager isn’t up to the job. She could have sent us over some bread and olives or maybe offered us a drink, ANYTHING. All we got was attitude and sass, shame!

Our large out of town party had a reservation but was made to wait for 45 mins with very poor communication and limited assistance to make the issue right. From the hostesses to the managers, there wasn't a desire to provide good customer service and they were frankly happy to kick us out after being confronted about the inappropriate wait time. We've been here before and were excited to celebrate an event with family, but won't return since they aren't able to manage reservations or customers appropriately.

Having recently moved to the triangle from NYC where Greek restaurants are abundant, I cannot say enough good things about Kipos. It is truly authentic, every dish is so good. The service is top notch, you are made to feel like family. Highly recommend the saganaki, spanakopita, octopus and zucchini crisps for apps. The entrees are all fantastic, but they do seafood REALLY well. Can’t go wrong with their Greek salad, which is topped with incredible feta cheese. Also for the parents - I’ve been here twice so far, once with my son who is 1.5 years old, and they were so accommodating to us. Can’t wait to go back!

Love the atmosphere of this place. We’ve always eaten inside but they have a large patio too. They have a guy playing Greek music on the weekends and he’s great. The food is good and reasonably priced. A good place for a special occasion or a date night. It is in the corner of a shopping center so don’t be fooled when you first pull in. It’s very nice.

My new favorite place in Chapel Hill. Unassuming location in a shopping mall but the restaurant itself is a delight. From our hilarious and very knowledgeable waiter, Molly, to the deliciousness coming out of the kitchen: fantastic food and service. And live music!

Ikarus cocktail is so unique and delicious with a light licorice taste! The Pastistos was delicious & the serving size was ridiculously large! The Mousaka bechemel topping was perfect amount. There's even vegetarian and vegan symbols on menu for my daughter. Server was almost too friendly/disingenuine but prefer that to snobby. Place is always packed and a tad loud inside although there are patio seating options.
