I love a restaurant that changes their menu often, and every time I go to Market and Moss, I try something different.I started with, “On Wednesdays we wear Pink” (even though it was Thursday), and it was a sweet very well balanced cocktail. After I ordered it, people at the bar started asking about it, so it’s definitely an eye catcher.If you’re into sweetness and berries, order it.The roasted gnocchi was one of the best pastas I’ve ever had! I loved the sweetness of the butternut squash puree, along with the crunch of the toasted hazelnuts, and the fried sage that just tied the whole dish together. If autumn was a dish, this dish would be it.My second course were the scallops, and after I had the first bite, they just melted in my mouth. As I was devouring the scallops, I was already thinking about my next visit! They were seared perfectly, and the baby carrots were cooked with the right amount of citrus.I ended my dinner with a cup of coffee, and the chocolate chip bread pudding. I am not a bread pudding fan, but I love chocolate, so I decided to give it a try. The big chunks of chocolate, made it easier for me enjoy the bread pudding. The bread was topped with a mint gelato, which was not overpowering at all. The kick of mint made the ideal combo with the bread pudding.

Bad experience. Food took forever. Despite being one of the first in the restaurant, the food came after many tables had already finished their meals. The owner was supposed to come by to discuss but never did. When I tasted the chicken I ordered, I failed to notice the taste (and I didn't have COVID). It was also quite dry. So finally the owner came over and didn't make any accommodations for the crappy service. In fact, she was kind of rude but removed the chicken from the bill. To be honest, I felt badly for the poor chicken. $32 for 1/4 dried out tasteless poultry that didn't deserve to die for that. Anyway, the waitress was sweet but not attentive. First time, last time.

Market and Moss is a fine dining establishment for regular folks. My wife and I made a repeat visit last night and confirmed our original opinion. This is our kind of place. Excellent cocktails: My wife had the Winter Fog, a smokey bourbon-based cocktail while I had a crisp local IPA. We ordered duck confit salad (excellent!), delicious potato soup du jour, two flatbreads (mushroom and Italian) with a nice Bordeaux. Great conversations with the staff and patrons at the modest sized bar. Prices are quite reasonable for this quality of food, service and environment. We'll be back!

I really cannot summarize how nice this place was, we were seated outside (by choice) and they gave us cozy soft blankets?? Like what! And turned the heater on for us, we got the mushroom Flatbread, gnocci, and mussels (the mussels were my fav of the 3, just like wow I've never had anything that tasted so much like the ocean, so comforting and rich) and the atmosphere was so romantic. Also the service was magical, everything was so well thought out, and waitress was so very kind (as well as front staff)!
An excellent evening out at a cozy, upscale and innovative restaurant. From the moment we stepped inside, we were warmly welcomed by pleasant, knowledgeable staff members that genuinely seemed invested in our dining experience. From the friendly greeting by our hostess, to the welcome by the owner, to the menu guidance by our server, to the front end manager personally taking time to share her wine pairing knowledge, to the chef’s adaptation of the grouper dish to accommodate a dietary restriction, our Market & Moss experience was outstanding. This is a gem of a restaurant that everyone should have a chance to experience for a night out, a special event or celebratory dinner. Looking forward to coming back.

Had a lovely anniversary dinner. Reservations are a good idea and easy to make online. Parking is a lot better than going to Franklin St. The service, food, and atmosphere were all great. I would return.

It was good. But probably not a repeat for us. Shrimp rolls were not what I was expecting, and I thought the menu was a little limited. More just my personal opinion than anything really having to do with the restaurant. Our waitress was fantastic!
