I always come here for my pregnant boss at least once a week while on the clock. I arrived today for a call in order and as usual no issues with the call in. But the woman with an attitude most days is always rude she works the front at the register and she is never nice. I never pay any attention because it’s not my food and I just want to get back to work. But today this lady had a very nasty attitude even worse than before and I couldn’t ignore. I asked for extra dipping sauce and I paid, I asked for more sauce and my drink and I guess I asked far too much. But I’m the one paying, I asked for my drink and then here comes the even bigger attitude presenting itself. After her being very rude and snatching my food then she proceeded to turn her back and started to use her phone. I simply asked excuse me ma’am can i speak to a manger or team lead. She turned around, rolled her eyes and put a French fry in her mouth and said “ no he not here”. I asked when will he be back so that I may speak to him, her response “ i don’t know I said tomorrow”. This was very rude and not to mention, eating in front of customers, using cellphone at work in public view, snatching food and not to mention the constant attitude. This is beyond ridiculous, it’s always something here, last time I came she had her daughter working the front register with her as she is assisting customers and she still had the nerve to have bad at customer service and eating at the register and bagging customers order. So independence Blvd in Charlotte American Deli has an employee that has bad customer service, and cook to order food and no manger or team lead on duty . Now you wonder why they health score is LOW….. Looking for independence American Deli store manager assistant manager , team lead and shift lead because they are no where to be found and the customer service is bad. Don’t EAT HERE EVER!!! They need to do something about this or just close permanently.

I usually would not bother but this is probably the 3rd time I’ve been to this location and keep in mind I go there VERY often because it’s close to my home.. that I’ve sat in the waiting area and my food is ready and I have to personally go to the cashier and ask is that my order sitting there & each time it’s YES . Meanwhile , people who’s coming behind me is getting their numbers called. While my food sits there until I get up and ask if that’s my order . Needless to say , I won’t be going back to this location . I’d rather drive 20 minutes to the other location . It’s very frustrating especially when I call ahead .

I just want to shout out the crew that worked between 11 am and 12 pm on 8/17/23. It was 4 team members and they ALL were very polite, funny, amazing and I really enjoy getting my sandwich made.

Haven't found a bad location. Food always good. Wings cheesesteaks (chicken or beef) shrimp (don't forget the yumyum sauce) fish etc

This place really needs to do better. I keep trying to give them changes and every time they prove to me why I shouldn't. For the meals to be this expensive for take out the customer service should be a lot better. I tried to call them multiple times almost two hours before they close and they just let the phone ring or they will answer and hang up immediately (saw this many times while waiting for my food) The cashier is super lazy refused to grab more fry seasoning when no one was waiting to order and she was just standing there. I get labor shortage but laziness isn't the result. The only reason they got one star was because the food was decent.
