The food was absolutely amazing! We got the Drunken noodles, Pad see ew, tom yum soup and a lychee smoothie. The spice level was perfect, for people that like spice, a Hot is actually Hot! The service was quick and nice. Usually Thai food is much more expensive so I was glad to see that it was affordable and high quality! This place is really a gem and we will absolutely be back!

Choose your heat. Whether you want very hot or a little less they accommodate. Portion sizes are perfect. Staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. Bathroom clean. Restaurant clean. I very much enjoyed Aroy. Highly recommend.

Trying different things since owners changed and some things not as good (like the panang).... eating with my 10yr old so mild spice requested on everything. The drunken noodles were delicious. The pineapple rice was SO spicy I could barely eat it, let alone my kid. The Tom Kha soup was tasty but had huge pieces of inedible ginger and lemon grass and an inedible leaf (not basil) with 3 pcs of shrimp for $13!

5 stars for portion size 5 stars for pricing compared to other options nearby 5 stars for the summer rolls and that peanut sauce! 4 stars for pad Thai Although not the absolute best Thai food I have had in my life, I would say it is very good for Charlotte. Definitely in my top 2. There was a good serving size of protein in my pad thai. The spicy levels seemed appropriate (I got no spicy but my husband got a medium spicy dish and enjoyed it). I really enjoyed my pad Thai for dinner (and lunch the next day). It had a great peanut flavor and good textured noodles. My favorite dish though was the summer roll.. yum! That peanut sauce is so addicting that I put it in with my pad Thai. The service for my call in order was exceptional. Friendly and honest, they told me the summer rolls would be $1 extra with shrimp. Not only that, but the young lady called to tell me when my order was ready to picked up. All in all, I will happily keep Aroy Thai in my take out rotation. We had a happy and full family after visiting!

Everything, including the curry dishes and pad Thai, is always amazing. One of Charlotte's greatest Thai restaurants. Everything is extremely fresh, and service is always prompt. An excellent place for takeout as well.

So I've been looking for solid Thai in Charlotte for a while, and every place I'd tried seemed to lack that layer of authentic Thai flavor. One night, Uber Eats and Yelp reviews led me to this gem. After a 45-minute commute in sound, it was so good that I had to try it in person. I came on a Friday night, and they needed to be packed with dine-in customers. The place is clean but small and quaint. Nestled in a strip mall, it isn't the ambiance that keeps people coming but the food. The lone waiter was efficient and prompt. The star of the show was the food. I ordered the drunken noodles with chicken and the mango sticky rice. The drunken noodles were served piping hot and bursting with flavor. The veggies were fresh, and the spice was just right. The chicken was juicy, and the portion was perfect to allow room for dessert. The mango sticky rice was perfect in portion and taste. It was the ideal end to the meal.

Ordered delivery. For $17 they sure did only fill my containers half way. The pad see ew was also sloppy, overcooked, and bland. And the drunken noodles were beyond spicy. So much so that it was inedible for my girlfriend who was raised eating jalepeños since she was 2. Would not recommend and so disappointed.

Small restaurant, maybe 5-6 tables inside. The food is as good as the best Thai restaurants in town. We had green curry, pad Thai, and some shrimp wrapped in spring roll paper. We will be going back.
